In the product design,it is very important to the final product design to integrate infor-marion of field experts’experience knowledge and human’s innovative thinking.Faced processesof product decision,the authors deal with the whole of design information from point of connection based on systemic& analytic method of set pair theory.A new method about product designnamed same-indefinite-contrary design method was put forward on this foundation.In design,this method is good at using the field expert’s experience knowledge,incarnates the design ideathat human is the core,and reuses the knowledge.Then,using it to analysis three phrases of market-oriented product design and its application in product design theory is explained.

Project management(PM )is one of strategic factors which can prove the ability to develop production.The mode of production development project management is analyzed in termsof organization,WBS and CIPMS.Different departments,even enterprises can be integrated forproduction development through Internet.The closely relative tasks are integrated into one roodule for reducing scheduling difficulty.Finally project management integrated system (PMIS)based on J2EE is put forward.

Product tolerance affects the quality and cost of a product cycle time.A new double objective O-1 integer programming design model of discrete tolerance is put forward,in which the two aspects of the total cost are treated as separate objective.The model does not require the determination of coefficient K and considers the designer’s preference. A robust design method based on simulated experiments approach and compromise programming approach is used to gain compromise between product quality and manufacturing cost. An exam ple is given to illustrate the method at the end.

To keep the ultra-precision device from the micro-disturbance of environment,a structure and kinetic model of a vibration control system were established with a passive air-springwhich reduces vibrations of high-frequency area and a giant magnetostrictive actuator which reduces those of low-frequency area,which is imitative of the isolation mechanics and special organic texture of woodpecker’s brain.In consideration of complex vibration environment and nonlinear ultra-precision device,a closed loop PID active control system was adopted.The system was simulated by Matlab.Results of simulations show that the control system can effectively restrainthe disturbances whose frequency range form 0-100 Hz.It can be applied to the vibration isolation field of the ultra-precision measuring and manufacturing device.

Inspired by the concept of modern design,a novel way of developing electrom echanicalproducts is put forward on the basis of green concepts after analyzing the defects existed in traditional way of product developing.The new green concept is adopted in the development of largecom plicated electrostatic precipitator in consideration of the whole lifecycle of the products. Thedesign practice generates valid results.

The prototype of an adaptive wing has been developed at the Technical University Berlin by the Department of Thermodynamics,sponsored by the EU through the TMR program “phase transitions in crystalline solids”. It consists of a flexible base plate as well as an aerodynamic encasem ent.Im portant constituents of an adaptive wing are sensors and actuators integrated into the structure.In this case,strain gauges measure the wing shape,and actuator packages consisting of shape memory alloy wires operate as“metal m uscles”.These muscles serve to adapt the wing shape to an aerodynamic optimum .A number of different desired wing shapes can be realized by suitable control algorithms.

Against the background of overcapacity inside the railway industry,the ongoing privatisation of the railway carrier and the therefore caused concentration on first costs by the customers, the authors describe the design to cost process and its integration in a superior targetcosting process at the example of a regional train bogie from the bogie division of ADtranz Daimler Chrysler Rail Systems GmbH.The focus of the displayed approach lies on the proceeding andthe activities which has been carried out to achieve the given target price for the bogies of a regional train.

The relation between the meter factor and flow rate for various dual bluff body combinations is investigated.A set of bluff body combination with an optimal performance of linearity and pressure loss is achieved through the pressure loss analysis.The experimental results of meter factor and pressure lOSS are also presented. The results show that the dual bluff body combination can have a similar constant Strouhal number to the single bluff body in the specific range of the flowrate.

This paper introduces the design of dotmatrix jet printing machine for steel pipe,which is a heart part in the finishing line equipment,including length checking,weighing and punch marking machine.The subsystem such as the choice of printing header,control system design,servomotor control and computer software design are presented.The device runs stably and reliably on the line.

On the basic the ordinary optimal design about worm gearing,a new design was provided.Used fuzzy mathematical theory and reliability design method,the mathematical model ofthe multi-object optimum design of worm gearing with fuzzy reliability restraint was established and an example was given.the result of optimal design proves that this method is feasible and practical.

The mechanism design was applied to the construction of cylindrical latticed shells anda new method named deployable integral lifting construction technology was proposed. The principle of the method was presented and the kinematic and the dynamic analysis of mechanism wasalso studied in detail. It is certified that the dynamic performance is unimportant and the shell canbear the load during the erection.This new m ethod has been successfully applied to the cylindrical latticed shell with the longest span in Asia and the effectiveness of this method iS verified.

The torque calculating of magnetic coupling of the heavy still bottoms gear is difficult because of 3 dimensions fields and the complex final conditions added the leakage and tolerant of materials performance. It derived the torque formulary of the coupling by analyzing and conrformed by experiment·It also gave the ration of length and diameter of the permanent magnet L/D=2/3~1,and the thick of conductor radial t=(1.5~2)L  by similar principle.It can be reference in magnetic coupling designing.
