ZHANG Shu-Jie, GUAN Fu-Ling, ZHANG Jing-Jie
Chinese Journal of Engineering Design, 2001, 8(2): 53-56.
Abstract( 739 )   HTML( 0 )     PDF(143KB)( 1330 )
A kind of energy-loaded joint used for deployable space structures is proposed and designed, and its deploying mechanics is also studied. The curtail rigid matrix of macrocell which is composed of the rod and its torsiomal springs has been analyzed. It has been shown that the resonant behaviour of structure was significantly improved by introducing the energy-loaded joints into it. It' s proved that this design is reliable and feasible.

Abstract( 531 )   HTML( 0 )     PDF(156KB)( 740 )
To manage the continously increasing requirements of time, costs and quality during the development process of a product, it is necessary to represent all information in a data model. Therefore a lot of methods exist to control the formation of a product model. The article describes the obstacles which occur during the adaption process in industry and offers suggestions for the transmission technology.

P.Dietz , D.Haje
Chinese Journal of Engineering Design, 2001, 8(2): 62-68.
Abstract( 558 )   HTML( 0 )     PDF(270KB)( 919 )
The acoustic behaviour of technical products is predominantly defined in the design stage, although designers mostly have no education as acousticians. In this contribution a computer aided method is described how to analyse and influence the acoustic characteristics of machine structures. This method bases on the concept of the“sound flowchart”of structures, contents design rules after ISO/TR 11 688 and supports the designer in the early stages of the design process.

LIANG Wen-Jun, JIN Zhi-Jiang
Chinese Journal of Engineering Design, 2001, 8(2): 69-72.
Abstract( 671 )   HTML( 1 )     PDF(135KB)( 930 )
An overall introduction of a new method of evaluating SIF—Weight Function is given. This is used to trace the development of the surface crack in the nozzle' s out-corner. It can beobserved that WF can be used to analyze the surface crack of various shapes under various load. For general engineering questions, WF is fairly accurate and a good substitute of FEM.

Chinese Journal of Engineering Design, 2001, 8(2): 73-76.
Abstract( 688 )   HTML( 0 )     PDF(122KB)( 1030 )
Based on the analysis of CAAD(computer-aided arthitecture design) and budgetary-budget estimate integration technology, a new method to realize the integration is put forward, in which the engineering quantity is obtained from the architecture work drawing designed on universal CAD(computer aided design) design platform using automatic or man-machine interactive manner. Finally, some other key technical problems are also discussed.

Chinese Journal of Engineering Design, 2001, 8(2): 77-80.
Abstract( 672 )   HTML( 0 )     PDF(152KB)( 1024 )
Centrifuges are often used to realize high-linear-acceleration in the test of thermovibration combined environment under high-linear-acceleration. At the end of it is located that vibrating table, temperature box, clamping fixture and test piece, which are often very heavy. The arm of centrifuge will be elongated as the result of large centrifugal force which is generated because of the high rotating speed, so the precision of output acceleration will be affected. Finite element method is used to analyze the deformation field of the arm of centrifuge in different rotating speed, and the relationship between the elongation of the centrifuge arm and the precision of output acceleration is analyzed, then the inherent characteristic of the arm vibration is analyzed, finally the valuable conclusions are gained.
Estimation of Remaining Life of Metallic Materials by Electrical Resistance Method Considering Variable Resistivity
SUN Bin-Xiang, GUO Yi-Mu
Chinese Journal of Engineering Design, 2001, 8(2): 81-84.
Abstract( 686 )   HTML( 0 )     PDF(114KB)( 1218 )
Considering variable resistivity, the formula of damage variable by means of the electrical resistance is obtained. The two models—homogeneous damage omitting resistivity changes and inhomogeneous damage considering variable resistivity—are compared. The results show that the predictions of resistance accord with the test data. And the influence of damage on resistivity of metal materials is discussed. The remaining life formula of the fatigue damage of metal materials is obtained.

Chinese Journal of Engineering Design, 2001, 8(2): 85-87.
Abstract( 799 )   HTML( 0 )     PDF(98KB)( 1608 )
The new-developed on-line preload controller of spindle bearing on precision machinetool is designed for the spindle system of the FL-1000 precision grinding machine. According to the actual working condition, after determining optimum preload and analyzing the control theory and algorithm, it has been practised to testify the feasibility of the on-line preload control system on FL-1000 machine.

YE Bing, CHEN Ying
Chinese Journal of Engineering Design, 2001, 8(2): 88-92.
Abstract( 629 )   HTML( 0 )     PDF(195KB)( 959 )
With the idea of object-oriented product design, a 3-D parametric feature modeling method is applied to develop manifold. On the basis of analysis of the relationships among features, the relation model of feature design in manifold CAD is presented with the concept of feature-object-oriented links. The research is useful to improve the efficiency and intelligence of complicated product design.

Abstract( 657 )   HTML( 0 )     PDF(166KB)( 1133 )
Authors present the dimension expressions of special instrument circular arc gear, and propose a selective method of hob' s rolling circle radius according as conjugate rack profiles existe or not. Then, according to the principle of tooth normal technique, authors propose a design method of hob' s tooth profiles for special instrument circle arc gear, and deduced all formulae used to design hob' s tooth profiles. Eventually, Authors take week-calendar wheel used in woman' s mechanical watch as an example, design the hob' s tooth profiles. The gears, which is cut with the hobs designed above, can satisfy all design demands completely.
