Abstract To manage the continously increasing requirements of time, costs and quality during the development process of a product, it is necessary to represent all information in a data model.Therefore a lot of methods exist to control the formation of a product model. The article describes the obstacles which occur during the adaption process in industry and offers suggestions for the transmission technology.
