In order to describe virtual instrument system software architecture effectively, this paper provides the concept & models of the virtual instrument system software architecture description language(VSDL). The model description, component description & line description are analyzed detailedly,and the structure language is provided also. The VSDL’s putting forward provides a new method for virtual instrument system’s application design & development.The VSDL has been applied to many virtual instrument system’s integration and obtains good technology effect & society effect.
Statistical Tolerance of Roundness and Assessment

The problems in the current tolerance system for roundness assessment are examined. It is found that the existing methods for roundness error measurement and assessment are based on the concepts in the geometric tolerance system. In order to solve the problems, a new concept of statistical tolerance of roundness is proposed. The proposed tolerance system is complementary to the existing geometrical roundness tolerance system. A number of roundness assessment functions using the new concept are proposed and the significance is discussed.

Concurrent design environment is a multi-user,multi-task involved system,which is consisted of lots of collaborative processes.A resource access control mechanism is needed in such a sophisticated system.Based on the role-based mandatory model and information flow model,a combined security model is presented.Also,a control rule under this model is discussed.

A design system modeling is presented, the consistency and real time updating of solid are realized by the constraint net, the constraint solver, the geometric represented solid, and B-represented solid. The flexibility will be greatly improved with this system in the early conceptual design stages.

The current tolerance design literature emphasize the use of optimization to minimize cost while little attention were paid to minimizing the sensitivity of tolerances to the variation of manufacturing processes. Variance analysis method was adopted. After analyzing the process simulation datum,we find out the design parameter which have much influence to the sum dimension and improve the tolerance demand for this design parameter. Thus minimize the sensitivity of sum dimension to process variation of individual dimension and realize tolerance design for quality.

To create a higher efficiency a CAD tool must be extended for special tasks,e.g.the design of hydraulic manifolds,so that some of the calculations and constraint checking can be done within the program.This paper presents such a design system that is based on product models for hydrostatic components.It handles not only geometric data but also technical and administrative data that are necessary for the extended functionality.

Recent advances and interests in integrated manufacturing, concurrent engineering and advanced manufacturing technology have gien CAPP a very prominent role as one of the effective agents for achieving the desired seanless integration between the various modules in a CIN (Computer Integrated Manufacturing)environment.the major object of this paper is the effective and complete CAPP system architecture will be constructed,which puts the emphasis on the theoretical study.The new designing and developing method being suitable to the application environment variation will be proposed to lay a foundation for its application in the future.So a perfect CAPP system architecture with the modular characteristics has been built up in the sight of both the automatic designing of process planning approaches and the developing techniques thchniques of CAPP system.

RS-485/422 network extend limited data transmission distant that is good method.in this paper, described some serical communication standards, designed and realized method of data transmission system bewteen Personal Computer and CNC. Using C++Builder developed Remote Data Transmission System on the base of RS-485/422 network under Windows98/95,We have realized remote data transmission between Personal Computer and CNC.
