Mechanical joining technology for sandwich elements

One of the essential advantages of sandwich elements is high rigidity combined with low weight. These characteristics are ideal for the realization of large structures subjected to stress. Nevertheless, in the application of mechanical engineering most of the sandwich elements are used for subordinate tasks. The substantial reason for this is the missing existance of a generally suitable joining technology for those elements. This essay represents the first part of the research project which is to describe the systematic development of all principle solutions and their evaluation on the basis of systematic engineering design.
Research on reachable capability of robot manipulators

To evaluate the capability of robot manipulator's tracing targets, the reachable function is derived and the definition of reachable capability of manipulators is provided. Furthermore, research on the influence of the number of freedom degree, rotary angel constraint on joints and length of links on reachable capability is conducted and then the author establishes the requirements for manipulator to reach targets. Finally, the significance of manipulator's reachable capability is addressed by taking fixed points, fixed position and pose of objective, and continuous trail objective as examples. These outcomes provide great theoretical reference for manipulator design.
Research on structural synthesis of two translation and three rotation parallel robot mechanism

Based on the theory about structural synthesis and classification of degenerate-rank parallel robot mechanism with single-opened-chain limb, structural synthesis and classification of two translation and three rotation robot mechanism are conducted and tens of mechanisms are achieved. The method proposed has general significance and has been successfully applied in the structural synthesis of degenerate-rank parallel robot mechanisms with other kinematics output types.
Research on automatic programming technology of fiber placement for composite materials

Fiber placement is one of the most rapidly developed and most effective manufacturing technologies for forms of composite components. Combined with the existing fiber placement equipments, research on automatic programming technology for composite fiber placement is conducted. On the basis of the already known core mold geometric model and fiber placement path, the coordinates of the arms on fiber placement mechanisms are established by applying robotics theory. Moreover, a simplified solution for the reverse problems of spatial mechanism kinematics is proposed. Position and orientation of arms are obtained based on single reference points on placement path. According to structure of gearing mechanism, revolving angels of each driving step motor are calculated and then the codes to control motion of fiber placement equipments are achieved. In addition, a software module for fiber placement simulation is developed with CATIA CAA.

By analyzing the mechanical status of the working pile rollers on raising machine, the mechanical model of single pile roller is established according to stepped beam deformation theory. And then the mechanical model of pile roller is set up together with the analysis of loads on belts between pile rollers. On the basis of the hypothesis of raising resistance and its distribution, the raising torque model is proposed and furthermore the relation model of electromotor power and the maximum raising torque is deduced. Additionally, this paper involved in the influence of power on maximum raising torque in drum electromotor, pile roller electromotor and counter pile roller electromotor. Finally, taking a certain raising machine with 36 rollers as an example, the practicability of such analysis model is demonstrated.
Intelligent protector for motor based on PICmcu

This paper introduced an intelligent protector for motor based on PICmcu, and presented the design thought of its hardware circuit and software. The section concerning hardware circuit focused on the design of the circuits of separate section and while the section about software illuminated the design method of key parts with details. An intelligent communication system utilized between intelligent protector and PC is also involved. Practical application indicated that this protector can achieve satisfactory protection on motor.
Optimization design of parameters in feeding system driven by linear motor based on APDL

This paper focuses on a new type of feeding system of high-speed CNC machine driven by linear motor, which takes high feeding rate, big acceleration, quick response and high accuracy of orientation as its features. To insuring the above features, reducing the table's weight with a guaranty of enough rigidity is necessary. To implement its structural optimization design, the method- establishing its parametric model by adopting APDL and then conducting optimization analysis on its size parameters by utilizing the optimization module in ANSYS- is feasible. Through such method, the structure of working table with high degree of light weight can be achieved, which can sufficiently fulfill the design requirements.

This paper focuses on principles and producing method of a screw tap clamp that can be applied on economical numerical control lathe. The utilization of such clamp can distinctly decrease labor hardship of workers while greatly increase productivity and product quality. Furthermore, under the condition that, in China, the majority of numerical control lathes are small and medium types, its easy operation display it a promising applying prospect.

With the development of solid state power devices and DSP, variable frequency vector control based on DSP has been the trend for electromotor control. On the basis of introducing, the principles of flux-weakening control, flux-weakening control is emerged into control strategy. The result of experiments indicates that such system achieves broader range of adjustable speed, faster dynamic response and better performance.

The research on dynamic characteristic of liquid floating accelerometer in the combining environment of overload and vibration is carried out. Through the application of ANSYS, mode and harmonic of floater components are analyzed and calculated. Finally, the dynamic excursion data of quality checking under combining loads is obtained, which provides references for the establishment of dynamic error model of accelerometer.
Application CFX-BladeGen in modelling turbine blade

The main component of turbine is made up of stator and rotor, whose function is to transform liquid energy into mechanical energy on the main shaft. CFX-BladeGen is applied to model turbine and then numerical simulation calculation on the obtained model is conducted. The comparison between the result of the above calculation and that of the same type of turbine in bed-performance test indicates that CFX-BladeGen is more convenient and swift to fulfill the modeling request of turbine blade.

Taking the appearance remodeling design of GFX-240 dry-cleaning, made by CAC laundry equipment Co. Ltd, as an example, this paper proposed the key technologies and methods to implement the appearance remodeling design of dry-cleaning machine by applying computer aided industrial design technology. The author advanced the idea of concurrent design adopted in interior structural design and form design, and briefly introduced how to achieving visual effect under computer virtual environment. Based on the principles of product form design and the semantics laws of product appearance, form and color design of dry-clean machine were completed. Through the utilizations of the modeling function of SolidWorks and rendering function of 3dsm, the virtual model and visual effect of the dry-cleaning machine were realized. Accordingly, the author successfully accomplished the appearance remodeling design of dry-cleaning machine with desirable effect.

Retractable structures have been widely adopted in large-sized palaestra and multipurpose buildings. Due to the particularity of retractable structure, design of this type of project must greatly differ from that of normal structure and be more difficult than the latter. Through a real structure of the retractable roof in Yellow-Dragon Sports Center, this paper presented the entire process of structural layout selection optimization and load analysis in design of retractable roof with details, which provides helpful reference for further research and development of such projects.
Triangular mesh simplification algorithm based on vector angle

The author proposes a 3D triangular mesh simplification algorithm with the method of vertex culling, which is based on the rule of vector angle. This algorithm includes the following steps in turn: calculating direction vectors generated by a random mesh vertex and the ones around it; recognizing and simplifying the planar areas in the mesh according to vector average angle; judging whether a vertex accords with the secure culling rule, which adopts the result whether the area where this vertex lies is smooth as a restraint to reserve the characteristic vertexes and then keep the visual features; after the step of vertex culling, conducting triangular mesh reconstruction on the polygons formed in the above steps to fill up the hollows. This algorithm achieves desirable balance in mesh simplification in the aspects of quality and efficiency.
