Scientific effects base for creative design

Conceptual design is a process that ascertains functional solutions and the creative activities for product innovation are accomplished in this process. Behavior is a link between function and form, which is a key middle component. Using scientific effects is an effective approach to realize the mapping from function to behavior in the conceptual design process. Based on conceptual design process model, a relationship model of the function, behavior and effect and a function-effect (FE) model were built. A software prototype of scientific effects base was developed, which had the functions of effects searching, effects displaying, effect combing and report creating. This system can be effectively used to finding principle solutions in creative design, which is a module of Computer Aided Design for Production Innovation.

Design and implementation of embedded and portable ultrasonic impedance reconstruction system

Ultrasonic impedance is a crucial parameter for ultrasonic detection and evaluation of technique application. How to reconstruct the ultrasonic impedance of the detected materials or components has been a fatal factor in layer material's test of adhesive performance and strength of adhints, measurement of elastic intensity of layer materials including carbon fiber composites, diagnosis of defects in composite materials and so on. In order to reach the aim of reconstructing ultrasonic impedance in real-time, on-line and accurately, and according to the latest achievement in information, computer and micro-electronic technologies, an embedded and portable system adopting DSP and ARM chips as central measuring and controlling unit is presented. On the basis of introducing general structure, design of software & hardware and function features of this system, this paper focuses on the design of some key modules of this system, such as ultrasonic wave transmitter and receiver, high speed A/D converter and the communication mode between related odules. The results of practical application indicate that this system performs much better in real time, reliability, accuracy and function expanding ability.

Design of high pressure assembled mechanical seal used in submarine

The mechanical seal utilized in submarine's weapon ejection pump works under fluctuant working pressure and is used in low frequency, and high reliability is indispensable. According to such requirements, this paper conducts analysis and design on high pressure assembled mechanical seal and its key techniques, and then presents the methods of its structure design, selection and calculation of its key parameters. Furthermore, the distortion of seal ring is analyzed by adopting finite element method. This paper involves the experiment device, applied to test reliability of submarine's high pressure mechanical seal, and then conducts test on the designed mechanical seal. The results indicate that such mechanical seal can fulfill the requirements commendably.

Research on dynamic design method and imitation of belt conveyor with horizontal curves

Aiming at the dynamic design problem of large belt conveyor with planar curves, this paper presents the method of calculating its running resistance by analyzing the orienting force and resistance on its curving parts. And then the dynamic model adopting discrete finite element model is established. Additionally, a dynamic analysis software of belt conveyor with planar curves is developed, and through simulation on real time system, displacement, velocity, acceleration and tension of separate units in the start-up process and the corresponding curves are gained, which sufficiently testifies the correctness of this software. The influence on belt conveyor of curve running is also provided by comparison between the simulation results of curve-running conveyor and line-running conveyor.

Use of Asp.Net in remote control

In order to realize remote control of electrical towage system, the structure of Asp.Net was introduced and its advantages in programming, configuration, disposition, debugging and safety were analyzed. Some basic concept of networked control system (NCS), which is a new study field that integrates computer, communication technology and control technology, was introduced. The structure of the whole Web system was described and then, how to establish IIS6 Web server and how to create a Web site on it were introduced. Networked control system based on Asp.Net was established and some problems in its construction, including there is no way to directly transfer variables through Web form, were discussed. Some programs were provided to explain how to transfer control variables through Asp.Net. Some programs about how to create Web form, which is different from and more efficient than the traditional ASP, were also provided. The real-time problem of networked control system was discussed and some measures were proposed to improve real-time property. Last, some graphs and results about our experiment were presented, which shows that an electromotor in long distance was successfully controlled through constructing IIS6 Web server and LAN. Results prove the reliability and the validity of Asp.Net in remote control.

Application of radio and line mixed transmissionin automatic delivery of barreled water

This paper mainly discussed the solution of transmitting unexpected signals by co-applying Radio and Line, which had been successfully adopted in Automatic Delivery of barreled water. This design involved the automatic delivery system comprising client and server hardware, and required no visible change to water dispenser, no extra indoor wires or power source. This paper focused on client delivery system, whose work included amplifying and modulating signals, sending and receiving radio, identifying codes, decoding, and automatically dialing. The server located in delivery centre received and identified DTMF signals from phone line sent by multiple clients and acquired the coding information of water level from them. Furthermore, the paper presented other possible applications of low-cost but long-distance information transmission.
