Scientific effects base for creative design

Abstract  Conceptual design is a process that ascertains functional solutions and the creative activities for product innovation are accomplished in this process. Behavior is a link between function and form, which is a key middle component. Using scientific effects is an effective approach to realize the mapping from function to behavior in the conceptual design process. Based on conceptual design process model, a relationship model of the function, behavior and effect and a function-effect (FE) model were built. A software prototype of scientific effects base was developed, which had the functions of effects searching, effects displaying, effect combing and report creating. This system can be effectively used to finding principle solutions in creative design, which is a module of Computer Aided Design for Production Innovation.

面向创新设计的科学效应库研究

概念设计是确定功能原理解的过程,创新设计主要在这个阶段完成。行为是联系功能与结构的纽带,起着承上启下的重要作用,使用科学效应是实现功能到行为映射的有效手段。根据概念设计的过程模型, 提出了功能、行为与效应的关系模型和一个以功能为核心的功能-效应(FE)模型。建立了面向创新设计的科学效应库原型系统,系统具有效应搜索、效应显示、效应组合和生成报告等功能,为产品创新设计功能原理解提供有效支持。科学效应库是计算机辅助创新设计软件系统的一个功能模块。
