Design of part dimension marking mode based on the functional dimension shortest path

Abstract There are many dimension marking modes of mechanical parts, which affect the precision and manufacturing cost of mechanical products. In order to obtain a reasonable part dimension marking mode, a assembly dimension connection path diagram containing all possible dimension marking modes was established. In order to obtain the shortest formation path of assembly functional dimension, based on the shortest path principle of assembly dimension chain and the solution of shortest path problem, two methods were used to establish the shortest path spanning tree of assembly functional dimension. The shortest path spanning tree determined only one reasonable dimension marking mode for all parts of the assembly. The research results provide a new path for the rational design of part dimension marking, which is easy to realize with computer aid.
