Design and implementation of embedded and portable ultrasonic impedance reconstruction system

Abstract  Ultrasonic impedance is a crucial parameter for ultrasonic detection and evaluation of technique application. How to reconstruct the ultrasonic impedance of the detected materials or components has been a fatal factor in layer material's test of adhesive performance and strength of adhints, measurement of elastic intensity of layer materials including carbon fiber composites, diagnosis of defects in composite materials and so on. In order to reach the aim of reconstructing ultrasonic impedance in real-time, on-line and accurately, and according to the latest achievement in information, computer and micro-electronic technologies, an embedded and portable system adopting DSP and ARM chips as central measuring and controlling unit is presented. On the basis of introducing general structure, design of software & hardware and function features of this system, this paper focuses on the design of some key modules of this system, such as ultrasonic wave transmitter and receiver, high speed A/D converter and the communication mode between related odules. The results of practical application indicate that this system performs much better in real time, reliability, accuracy and function expanding ability.

嵌入式便携声阻抗重建系统的设计与实现

材料或构件的声阻抗是超声无损检测和评价技术应用的一个重要参数,对层状材料,在胶接接点的粘接情况和连接强度的检测、包括碳纤维复合材料在内的薄层材料弹性强度的测量、复合材料缺陷的确定等方面具有重要的应用价值,如何精确地重建待检材料或构件的声阻抗已成为这些应用的成败关键之一。为达到实时、在线和精确地重建声阻抗的目的,根据信息技术、计算机技术和微电子技术的最新研究成果,采用DSP和ARM芯片作为中心测控单元,实现了一种嵌入式便携声阻抗重建系统。在对该系统的总体结构、软硬件设计和功能特点等介绍的基础上,重点对系统的关键模块,如超声波发射与接收、高速A/D、模块通讯机制等进行阐述和设计。实际应用表明,该系统在实时性、可靠性、精确性以及后续功能扩充方面具有明显的特点。
