Abstract This paper starts from applying perturbation stochastic element-free Galerkin method (PSEFGM), which features element-free and high precision, to solve the response of probabilistic structure. And the author analyzes the structural reliability adopting Ant Algorithm. Ant Algorithm is an intelligent optimum algorithm for stochastic searching. This algorithm required no prerequisites of differentiation or even continuation of objective function and can effectively overcome the common disadvantages of classic algorithm-immersing into local optimum. Numerical examples show that the stochasticelement-free Galerkin method and ant algorithm had obvious advantages comparing to classic algorithm in reliability analysis of probabilistic structure.
