The product gene model is proposed for representing functions of principle solutions dealing with energy transformation. The knowledge base of product genes is established. A heuristic approach based on product genes is proposed for principle conceptual design of energy transforming systems, which is demonstrated valid by an illustrative example.

The vibration performance of structural pattern of the small satellite is tested. The numerical models are built using the C1-type shell-beam element. Since there exists an obvious influence of additional mass of sensor during testing, the numerical analysis could be used to get the true results after compensation treating, which can get rid of the additional influence of sensor. A set of results both in test and computing are presented to demonstrate the whole treating process.

Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) offer an emerging and multidisciplinary research area. Cost and reliability are essential to the commercialization of MEMS. As compared with mechanical machining and IC fabrication, micromachining has the disadvantage of large and intractable dimensional uncertainty, which should be accommodated during design process. Robust design improves the robustness of designs in the presence of uncertainty without having to increase manufacturing cost. Robust optimization design approaches can be classified into two major categories, namely Taguchi method and tolerance-based method. The latter is better suit for constrained optimization. Case studies of a micro-accelerometer and a micro-valve are introduced to illustrate the validation of robust optimization design for MEMS devices, where signal-noise ratios are improved significantly.
Research on deformation of inner cavity for shrink-fitting flat
container and corresponding structural improvement

With great thickness transition of inner layer from major axis to minor axis, the inner cavity of shrink-fitting flat container would deform unevenly beyond the prescriptive dimension precision, which would put re-sinking of die into trouble. Thus, structure development of the flat container was put forward. Considering geometric similarity, an idea of using elliptic inner layer structure was presented instead of circular shape. The numerical simulations of two-layer flat containers with two kinds of structures respectively subjected to the shrink fitting were made by ANSYS finite element analytical software. The deformation law and displacement of inner cavity were analyzed. Then corresponding actual experiments were carried out to testify them. Finally, the results indicated that displacement on the straight edge of inner cavity using elliptic structure is smaller than that using circular structure. Moreover, the deformation distribution of the former is more even than that of the latter on the whole cavity die. All these gave convenience to re-sinking of die and improved the manufacturing accuracy of parts.

In order to verify the characteristic of high precision and high stiffness of rode-cable deployable mast, the authours made a kind of rode-cable deployable mast model, and designed the corresponding device simulating zero gravity condition required for experiment. This paper illustrated the structural design and driving system design of the model, and intensively analyzed its precision test of repetitive deploying and modal experiment. The characteristic of high precision is verified by the precision test of repetitive deploying. After validating that the device simulating zero gravity condition is viable to the modal experiment of the model, the authors made the modal experiment. Through comparing the modal frequencies of experiment and computation, this paper verified the high stiffness of this kind of rode-cable deployable mast. 
Research on stroke lengthening and power saving modification
of conventional beam-pumping units

Considering the conventional beam-pumping unit which is of low efficiency and high power consumption can't meet the geologic conditions of oil field water-injecting exploitation, authors put forward that it should be modified with eccentric wheel type of high efficiency power saving pumping unit, so as to realize stroke lengthening and power saving. Using numerical simulation and optimization method, authors determine the key size parameters of modified pumping unit. The results of factory modification test and on-site application test have showed that the modified pumping-unit works in good conditions with 40% stroke increment and obvious power saving effect. In addition, it has met the requirements of new geologic conditions, and has enabled the obsolete pumping units to be re-utilized. The expenses on the modification activity accounts for only 30% that of purchasing a new one. Thus, higher social and economical benefits can be obtained.

A presentation is given on the design of a lithium bromide absorption refrigeration plant in Tianjin Petrol-chemical Company. As the cooling load differs greatly between seasons, two methods of refrigerating for each season are introduced. Close circulation in chilled water system is used. Device for reducing the temperature and pressure of the steam system is installed. By improving the equipment for condensation water recycling, it is made providing both condensation water recycling and water distributing for reducing temperature of steam. During test run, overload happened in the motor of the circulating pump, the reason for that is the running state point departure with the design state point, comparing the three ways of tackling the problem: (1) increase partial resistance, (2) frequency conversion, (3) impeller cutting, then adopted the former for regulating. Also, the valve for shut off the steam in emergency did not act properly, owing to the property of the executing machine did not match with the working principle of the chiller, replaced the executing machine and it run normally. Using lithium bromide absorption refrigerating properly may optimize the  synthetical efficiency for energy utilization.

A redundancy optimization model is given. Many optimization methods to solve optimum model and their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. Several ordinary heuristic methods are discussed. A new heuristic method is put forward based on Lagrange multipliers and Kuhn-Tucker (KT) equations, and its effectiveness is illustrated through results.

This paper presents the design of steel pipes shaping control system, the shaping style base on hydraulic servo controlled carrying framework is put up. And the mathematic model of hexagon-shaping is established as well. The control system base on fieldbus is introduced. The shaping process and the function of software is described. And the hydraulic servo synchronization control and PID control is also discussed.
Design of soft start energy-saving controller of asynchronous motor

Asynchronous motor has an extensive application in manufacture. The efficiency is quite low when the motor is running under the rated load. Dynamically adjusting the terminal voltage of the motor according to the change of the load can greatly reduce the consumption, and thus improve the efficiency. This paper provides design of the soft start energy-saving controller of motor, which can be used in energy-saving, soft start and running protection. The controller needs a low cost in hardware, but the function is powerful. This paper proposes the software and hardware design scheme of the controller.

A precision stepping system with high precision and low cost is designed. The way improving the precision and dynamic performance of numerical control harmonic drive system is analyzed. It is present that the meshing performance and manufacturing precision, dynamic performance of harmonic drive and torque characteristics, control technology of stepping motor, the matching of mechanical system and electricity system must be considered to obtain a high precision stepping harmonic drive system.

Such factors as form,color,and material embody peoples emotional experience and feelings.Only when the three factors are in harmony,can people achieve the fresh visual sense and great satisfaction. Product are able to come closen to human beings for the design.This is the very motive and goal of industral designers,from which industrial design can experience a promising development in the future.
