Research on robust optimization design based on axiomatic design and compromise decision support problem

For multi-objective robust optimal design, the loss function of multi-objective robust optimization was defined. The contribution of design variable to design objectives can be calculated using sensitive analysis, and the principal design parameters were determined, so that the tolerance of design parameters could be adjusted and controlled. According to the consistent relation between information axiom and quality loss function in robust design process of product quality, the minimum total loss function of each sub-objective function was considered as the objective function. Based on the framework of compromise decision support problem, a multi-objective robust optimization model based on axiomatic design and compromise decision support problem is proposed. The case study indicates that the proposed methods are feasible and effective.
Spares machine-repair model with repairmen's performing secondary task

Research on machine-repair model including the use of spares with repairmen's performing secondary task was carried out, which was regarded as a finite queue with servers vacations by using the method of quasi-birth and death process. The stable distributions of the number of break-down machines and the time waiting for repair were obtained. Finally the author figured out that the model degenerated to some special cases in given situation and then provided their stable distributions.

Through demand analysis, based on the reality of enterprises, the integrated model of a heterogeneous Web environment ERP system was constructed and its functional structure was put forward. And then the key technology to implement it was analyzed in details, which provided a coordinating platform for real-time interaction among multiple enterprises. To sharing and co-constructing the integrated information, a third part was abstracted. This method can not only encrypt the data of enterprises but also realize indirect interaction between different enterprises.
Research on structural dynamic characteristics of active vibration isolation module

A modular design concept for an active vibration control platform was put forward, which adopted finite element method to establish the structure dynamic model of a modular vibration isolation module. And the dynamic equation was applied to simulate simple open active vibration control of this vibration isolation module, and then the conclusion that the vibration in two degree-of-freedom directions of this vibration isolation platform could be effectively controlled by appropriately adjusting the output force of driving part actuator was gained. Through the research on vibration amplitude factor, the natural oscillation of this module was not found within its working frequency band. Therefore, active vibration isolation technology was utilized for vibration whose frequency was lower than its natural frequency. Finally further analysis was carried out on dynamic characteristics of the above vibration isolation module, which demonstrated that the established dynamic model could well describe the dynamic characteristics of the vibration isolation module.
Research on vibration synchronization of single-mass nonlinear system under sharp resonance condition

This paper carries out theoretical study and numerical simulation on the vibration synchronization of single-mass nonlinear system with dual vibration exciters rotating in opposite direction under sharp resonance (resonant frequency ratio z=0.9~1.1) condition. The dynamic model of single mass nonlinear system has been established, and by adopting Hamilton principle, the necessary conditions of vibration synchronization motion for dual vibration exciters are deduced under sharp resonance condition. Finally, the validity & availability of this theory are demonstrated through numerical simulation. This research provides the theoretical fundamental for further development of efficient and energy-saving sharp resonance shaker, and has crucial value in engineering applications.
Design of wireless network node of smart home based on DSP

By applying wireless sensor network technology to smart home system, design of a rational network node is the key problem in smart home system. Based on the analysis of the architecture of wireless sensor networks nodes, wireless sensor networks nodes using DSP chip TMS320F206 microcontroller and AT86RF230 transceiver are proposed. Considering the demands of energy saving and extensibility, a protocol of timely opening and closing is utilized and the time proportion is 1∶99. The wireless network node can satisfy the requirements of low-power consumption, long transmitting distance, accurate localization and interference-resistance.
Frequency domain iterative design method for digital feedforward tracking controllers

Digital feedforward controllers are used to improve the tracking performance of servo systems, and in industrial applications the following terms are generally included in the design procedure: parameter identification of the closed loop, discretization of the closed loop and feedforward controller design. Because design errors exists in every term of the design procedure, it will lead to the descent of tracking performance of the digital feedforward controller. For this problem, a novel frequency domain iterative design method using measured frequency characteristics data was proposed, which can eliminate the design errors in every design step effectively. Feedback principle is introduced into the digital feedforward controller design procedure, frequency characteristic data are revised step by step in term of the design error, and the tracking error was reduced remarkably by the iterative design procedure. By the analysis of the changing rule of the frequency characteristic error in the design procedure, the iterative step was given.  Computer simulation and experiments are developed for a flight motion simulator system, and the results show the effectiveness of the proposed method, which can remarkably expand the tracking bandwidth of servo systems, and reduce the errors for tracking signals at low frequency range. 

High resolution piezoelectric ceramic (PZT) digital driving power supply based on FPGA and PA85 was designed for the application of the PZT actuator in six degrees of freedom of (6-DOF) micro-displacement platform. The driving power supply presented was composed of two modules. One was the D/A convert module, which converted the digital signal instruction from the computer to analog voltage signal, primarily amplifying the output signal under a low-voltage. The other was the high-voltage linear amplifier module, which amplified the voltage signal after primary step under a high voltage. The experiment results indicate that the driving power supply has the advantages of high precision, quick response, strong driving capability, high stability, simple circuit, high integration, convenient debugging and so on, which makes it suitable for the application of driving 6-DOF micro-displacement platform.
Self-locking and force amplifying toggle clamping device based on thermal linear expansion and area effect stroke amplifier

To enhance energy usage efficiency and reduce environmental pollution, a design method based on a new concept for clamping device was proposed. Clamping device is composed of a temperature-controlled micro-displacement driving device, an area effect stroke amplifier and a self-locking bi-bar single-acting toggle force amplifying mechanism. Its working principle takes the advantage of semiconductor heating/refrigeration converting technology to make thermal-sensitive material generate micro-displacement, then the micro-displacement is amplified to about 100 times to become a noticeable displacement by applying the area effect stroke amplifier based on Pasca's principle. The output displacement and force are transmitted on passing critical point self-locking toggle force amplifying mechanism to clamp the workpiece. The new concept clamp device can not only realize zero energy consuming in cutting process but also has the characteristics of simple structure, high energy efficiency, good stabilization, non-noise contamination and good self-locking property.
Camber calculating model and simulation of wedge strip in rolling

In the process of strip rolling, strip deviation caused by outside interference cannot be well controlled. The direct reason of the above problem is that accurate measurement and calculation of camber value are not available, which causes great difficulty of accurate control. This paper establishes camber calculating model based on physical model of wedge strip in rolling. Finite Element Analysis software is utilized to model the strip rolling in light of field data. And simulation of this FEM (finite element model) is conducted to validate the rationality and accuracy of this calculating model.
Research on power calculation method for belt conveyor and its problems in project application

By comparing the CEMA method for power and tension calculations of belt conveyor with the DIN2201 method, the characteristics of the CEMA method was definitely analyzed. The power and tension calculation software for belt conveyor was developed according to the CEMA method developed by Visual Basic 6.0 and it was validated by case studies and engineering applications. Through research on the relationship between curve resistance factor Ky in the CEMA method and analog friction factor f in the German DIN2201 standard, the regularity of the main resistance in the CEMA method was obtained and the correction function of analog friction factor was provided; with the correcting skills of temperature correction factor; the power and the tension could be calculated according to the input analog friction factor, which extended the functions of this software. Due to the fact that there was no correction method relative to temperature when adopting DIN22101 standard, the corrected value of analog friction factor under low temperatures was calculated by the CEMA method.
Application of variable-frequncy control and HMI in paper-tube machine

Paper-tube machine is a machine used to coil parallelogram paper horizontally. The efficiency of old types was so low that it can not meet the need of market and they needed improvement. Variable-frequncy control and human machine interface(HMI) were applied in paper-tube machine, which performed technological modification on the old machines. The control reguirement and basic control method of the machine were introduced and the emphasis was the communication of variable frequncy speed regulation and HMI. The combination of them made additional functions, such as speed control on line, productivity calculation and easier operation. Practical application shows that the efficiency increases by 7 times and the automation of producing process has been realized.

In order to improve the stability, reliability and practicability of special equipment—a integrated circuit card receiving and issuing card machine on highway, several self-patented technology, such as enhanced card box, card plane detection technology, card road detection and counting technology was adopted to develop a enhanced semi-automatic smart card (also known as IC card) receiving and issuing devices, which solved the problems, such as poor stability and reliability, easy to fail, of current semi-automatic and fully automatic card machine. This machine was tried and tested a long period on highway. The results indicate the index of this machine is far superior to current products.
Design and fabrication of new type reflect array antenna

Presents a new architectures of the reflect array antenna, it is useful to reduce the weight and the volume of antenna when it is un-deployed. In order to mitigate the wrinkle, the shape of the cable was proved to be a circle. A detailed method of computing the cable system was introduced. The most fundamental structural component of this antenna is the spring tape reinforced aluminum laminate inflatable boom. The correctness of the nonlinear buckling analysis was proved by experiment. The influence of the thickness, the central angle of the spring tape and the thickness of the aluminum laminate to the supporting capacity of the boom were studied. At the end, this new type reflect array antenna was made, the surface precision of this antenna was measured, the result shows that this kind of new type antenna is suitable for application.
Stability analysis of tapered floating-roof steel storage tanks under measured differential settlement

Large steel storage tanks constructed in soft foundations are easy to generate various types of settlement deformation, among which the differential settlement beneath the tank wall is the most serious. This paper analyzes the stability behavior of large tapered floating-roof steel storage tanks according to measured settlements. Geometrically nonlinear finite element analysis is carried out on the tapered floating-roof tanks under the global differential settlement and local differential settlement. By analyzing the settlement-displacement response, it is found that the tank has different types of buckling mode and buckling procedure. Comparison between structural behaviors of tapered tanks and uniform tanks is also conducted. Finally, some suggestion on stability design of tapered tanks is given.
