Analysis on strength and reliability of pneumatic muscle

Abstract  Aiming at the failure of pneumatic muscle during usage, factors affecting the strength and reliability of pneumatic muscle were analyzed. Firstly, force acting on the braided net was analyzed and the equation to express this force by parameters of pneumatic muscle was provided. Then, the factors affecting the strength and reliability of the rubber tube were analyzed qualitatively. Finally, some problems requiring attention in design and application of pneumatic muscle were proposed. The conclusions given are helpful in design and fabrication of pneumatic muscle.

气动肌肉的强度与可靠性分析

针对气动肌肉在使用过程中出现的失效问题,对影响气动肌肉强度与可靠性的因素进行分析.首先对编织网线的受力进行分析,给出由气动肌肉参数表示的网线受力计算公式.然后对影响气动肌肉橡胶管强度与可靠性的因素进行定性分析.最后,提出气动肌肉在设计和使用中应注意的一些问题.给出的结论对气动肌肉的设计和制作具有一定的指导意义.
