The function's definition and corresponding division for product design process on ontology domain |

Abstract Product design process is one of the important parts in product lifecycle. The quality of final product and manufacturing cost are usually decided by result of product design process. The essence of product design process is solution of product design problem. It is also a decision making process, the subject on the uncertain condition, in order to fulfil the requirement of customer or subjects. The function is the key factor and content which decides this process. The function is core content. Around it, firstly, the current research on function in product design process was analyzed. The advantages & disadvantages of those pasted research were listed. Then, based on the concept of ontology, and the common between function and ontology, the function definition was proposed oriented to product design process. The relationship among function, requirement and requirement function was presented. Furthermore, comparing with traditional view, a new division of product design process was proposed, in which, the product design process was divided into two phases: the qualitative conceptual design phase and the quantitative detail design phase on the basis of functions mainline in product design product. At last, the outline of this paper was summarized, and the future work of this paper was pointed out.

本体范畴下一种新的功能定义及对应的产品设计过程划分
产品设计过程是产品生命周期中的一个重要环节,决定了后续制造阶段的成本和最终产品的质量.产品设计过程的本质就是对设计问题进行求解的过程,是在不确定的状态下所进行的实现自己或客观主体目的的一个决策过程,而功能就是决定产品设计过程本质的一个重要内容.为此,以功能为核心,首先对以往功能的相关研究进行综述,分析了功能研究的现状,并在此基础上利用本体与功能的共性,提出本体范畴下针对产品设计过程的功能的定义,分析了在产品设计过程中,功能、需求、需求功能三者之间的关系,依此关系提出了一种新的、有别于传统的产品设计过程划分,最后对全文进行总结,并指出了未来可行的研究方向.
