Abstract:

A calculating model for optional location pressure at every sealing area was presented according to the real operating condition of porting mechanism in order to achieve the pressure field distribution of plain porting mechanism in axial piston pump. All formulas in cylindrical coordinate were deduced from the universal Reynolds equation because of the twodimensional gap flow between disks. Both the NewtonRaphson, the iterated algorithm and the integration with boundary conditions were introduced. The distribution results on the internal and the external sealing area were calculated. When rext/rint, the ratio of the internal and the external radius in circular sealing area was less than 1.5, the pressure and the radius was nearlinear dependency within the linear segment of the whole curve, so it can be simplified to analyze. The nonlinear relation should be considered when rext/rint was more than 1.5. The analysis formula and the iterated calculation are applicable to the calculation under the low and medium pressure field of sealing area. The iterated method has the advantages of simple steps and quick convergence, while the analysis formula can get more exact results especially for high pressure and wider sealing area (a greater rext/rint).
