Development of external design and its CAD application

The history of aeroengine external design technology development was reviewed and the general process of aeroengine external design is introduced. The distinctions among traditional external design, 2D & 3D CAD external design are distilled. This paper focused on the process, method, features and advantages of external design of aeroengine digital mockup by applying UG, which indicates that external 3D digital design technique of aeroengine is necessary and feasible. Through this, domestic factories can get rid of dependence on physical prototype machine in external design and realize the transformation from physical mockup technique to digital mockup one in a short period. Finally, the further developing plan of aeroengine external design is expected.

These strategies and methods solve the major difficulties in distribution evaluation facing userfriendly level.

Aitken algorithm, exploited to solve nonlinear equations with one variable, is an automatic linear iterative algorithm, in which each iteration needs computing function values twice. Extending it to iterative solution of structural optimization nonlinear criterion equations, complete automatization of iterative seeking solution for structural optimization can be implemented. To eliminate the defects of requiring two structural analysis for one iteration, a new type of linear iterative algorithm, called AtikenChen algorithm, is constructed. This algorithm utilizes the information of the last iteration and merely needs one structural analysis for each iteration, through which the computing efficiency and degree of automatization of structural optimization interaction computation are greatly enhanced. Feasibility and superiority of this algorithm have been demonstrated by illustrations.

Concerning that some factors influencing design are difficult to display with definite value, this paper established the fuzzy optimization design model by taking the minimum of the volume of tooth corona of worm gear in elevator mechanism as the optimization objective. The method of secondclass comprehensive evaluation was adopted to obtain the optimal level cut set, and thus fuzzy optimization is transformed into usual optimization. Moreover, the neural networks algorithm is adapted to train feedforward networks so as to fit relative coefficient. Then the fitness function with penalty terms is established with penalty strategy. Genetic Algorithm Toolbox of Matlab are utilized to seek the optimal solution and then reach the aim of improve accuracy and search efficiency.

The basic concept and principle of Adaptable Design (AD) is briefly introduced. Based on principle of modularity and product platform, combining with mechanical bus technique, the illustration exploration of adaptable climbing robot is conducted. And then its related climbing platform is designed and dovetailed mechbus mechanism is developed. With compatible connection of mechbus and connection of two execution modules with different final execution functions, the task of spaying paint and wrapping outside the pipe is completed. Thus the adaptability for functional variability based on the same platform is implemented.

To solve the problem of precisely machining of integral impeller blade, research on 5axis Numerical Control Electrochemical Contour Evolution Grindi
ng (NCECCEG) was done. According to the features of method of NCECCEG, on the basis of analysis on principle of NCECCEG, the design of structure and movement of grinding system is conducted. Furthermore, combined multiaxis NC system and its linkage control are presented and the mathematical model of electrochemical contour evolution grinding impeller blade by unparallel line was erected. In addition, an autoprogramming system in 5axis NCECCEG was developed. It had been applied to grinding integral impeller and now 5axis NCECCEG technology is a new method for final finishing of integral impeller blade.

Research on design of new type of stemless femoral prosthesis

This paper investigates the biomechanical performance of a newly designed cervicotrochanteric stemless prosthesis by comparing its stress distribution with that of the traditional stemtype porouscoated anatomic prosthesis. Utilizing CT scanning photographs of real femur, 3D finite element models were set up for the intact, cervicotrochanteric (with two or three fixation screws), and porouscoated anatomic implanted femora with the geometry information of a standardized real femur. Analysis was performed under a loading condition to simulate the singlelegged stance. Von Mises stress distributions of each model were analyzed and compared. The results can be summarized as follows: (1) Von Mises stress in stemless cervicotrochanteric implanted model was higher than that of intact model and porouscoated anatomic implanted model; (2) stressshielding effect of cervicotrochanteric models (with twoor three fixation screws) were eliminated compared to porouscoated anatomic model; (3) no obvious difference in von Mises stress distribution for the cervicotrochanteric implanted model with two or three fixation screws. The cervicotrochanteric femoral prosthesis may reduce stressshielding effect of the proximal femur and achieve more physiological stress distribution on proximal femur than that of the porouscoated anatomic prosthesis.

Hydroforming, also called internal high pressure forming, is a kind of plasticity process which exploits hydraulic pressure to make work pieces form different section shapes. This paper introduced principle of hydroforming, process and application in industry. In addition, constitution of Hydroforming equipment is presented in details. Analysis of multihydraulic pressure cylinder is conducted by adopting FEM theory and the application—ANSYS, in which its application background and selection of units are purposed. Furthermore, analysis is also conducted by utilizing traditional computation methods. Through compare of the two results, it can conclude that the result sought from FEM method is valid, which demonstrates that the method is feasible.

Semiconductor refrigeration is special refrigeration employed by thermo electricity effect, and it is widely applied due to its outstanding advantages. Its cooling mode is the key factor for the development of this technique. The application and its bottleneck are presented and liquid circulation cooling system is adopted. During the compare between it and the existing products, it performs better.

To enhance the market competing capability of electrical bicycle factories in our country, an innovative electricvehicle with intelligent 1∶1 PAS (power assistant system) is developed. Through presenting implementation principle and design method of this electricvehicle, two special sensors (one is speed sensor, the other is torque sensor) are respectively designed to measure the speed and torque produced by the electricbicyclist. Then signals are transmitted to PIC16C712 MCU to calculate the input power and generate PWM to control the DC (direct current) electricmotor and reliable 1∶1 power assistant function is implemented. Besides, the PIC6C712 MCU can realtime monitor the electricvehicle’s working state to enhance operating performance and security. The testing results indicate that it can fulfill the concerned technical standard of 1∶1 power assistant electricvehicle. Furthermore, this vehicle has obvious advantages in reliability, operating performance and performanceprice ratio comparing to vehicle of the same kind.
Research on tribology property of Si3N4 ceramic and chilled iron under oilless lubrication

A series of tests on friction and wear of Si3N4 ceramic and chilled iron under oilless lubrication were conducted on MG200 Friction Wear Machine by adopting blockondisc wear test method, during which the values of wear rate and friction coefficient of Si3N4 ceramic and chilled iron were achieved. Additionally the friction and wear behaviors were analyzed through SME images and percentage of different chemical elements distributed on friction surface. The result indicated wear rates of Si3N4 ceramic and friction coefficient between Si3N4 ceramic and chilled iron under oilless lubrication are much less than wear rates and friction coefficient under dry friction condition. Wear rate of Si3N4 ceramic rose with the increase of loads between Si3N4 ceramic and chilled iron while the effect of relative sliding speed on wear rate of Si3N4 ceramic is not as significant as that of load. For the friction coefficient between Si3N4 ceramic and chilled iron, it decreased with the increase of relative sliding speed and the change on load had little influence on it. Wear of Si3N4 ceramic was caused by interaction of chemical wear, abrading wear and particle’s peeling off, among which the chemical one was dominant.

Research and analysis on main beam on the longtime used 25 t×27.5 m bridge type crane is executed by adopting FEA method and Finite Element code MSC.MARC. According to measured dimensions, deformations of bridge frame and stress distribution on it are analyzed from the aspects of experimental load case and design load case respectively. Furthermore, its structural mechanics features are presented and compared with the experimental results, which provides theoretical base for confirming its life span.
