Design validation during new injection-molded product development

The technical design assumptions during new product development were discussed in order to reduce design errors. Combined with prototype technology, experiences, experiments, CAD and CAE technologies, six design validation methods were put forward. They are prototype validation, experience validation, experiment validation, CAD validation, processing simulation validation and integrated simulation validation. These methods were applied in the new product developments of injectionmolded parts. It shows that these six design validation methods can be applied in concepts, design, prototype testing and the trialproduction stages of new product development.
Experimental research on biological signal of muscle fatigue under dynamic driving environment

To evaluate human comfort under different dynamic driving environment, the IEMG and frequency-domain eigenvalues of SEMG signal under different accelerations were calculated in the simulated dynamic driving environment. Based on experimental datum, the change curves between the partial MF indexes and the acceleration, the time were plotted, including the biceps brachii, erector spinae and biceps femoris. Besides, the characteristic of muscle oxygen content and brain oxygen variation were recorded by NIRS. Meanwhile subjective evaluations of human body comfort and fatigue in different dynamic driving environment were given respectively. The experimental results show that different dynamic driving environment has direct influence on human muscle oxygen content and brain oxygen, further influence on human body comfort and fatigue. Hence the results provide impersonal and efficient references for evaluating the operation comfort and design of human-vehicle interface under dynamic driving environment.
Study on modeling and simulation of the hydraulic system of the concrete pump truck's arms

For analyzing the dynamic characteristic of the hydraulic system of the concrete pump truck's arm, according to the operating principle of the hydraulic system of the concrete pump truck's arm, the simulation model of the hydraulic system of the concrete pump truck's arm was established by using AMESim, which was carried out to simulate the concrete pump truck's arms' retracting process, and the pressure and flowrate as well as piston displacement curve of each arm cylinder were obtained. The simulation results are helpful to design of the hydraulic system of the concrete pump truck's arm.
Magnetorheological shock absorber modeling based on the modified Backlash hysteresis

Because of the hysteresis nonlinear modeling problems when the magnetorheological damper(MRD) is applied to the semi-active control system, referred to the phenomenon description method of the electromagnetic hysteresis, introduced the dynamic Backlash-like model to reflect the hysteresis of damping force vs. velocity, took into account the dynamic characteristics of MRD in different currents and frequencies, modified with Sigmoid function, and considered the role of post-yield viscous and inflation pressure, the authors developed a parametric model of modified Backlash hysteresis. Then, after testing the dynamic characteristics of self-made MRD in different currents and frequencies on the bench, identifing the model parameters by use of testing data, and verifing the predictive performance of the model, the authors found prediction error was less than 10%-15%. The results show that the model is simple, capable of describing and predicting the dynamic characteristics of MRD more accurately, and has a good practical value.
Sensitivity analysis of thermal deformation of parabolic antenna in orbi

Thermal deformation is a main factor affecting antenna performance. Sensitivity analysis of thermal deformation of parabolic antenna in orbit is the base of controlling deformation. A spline function shell element in orthogonal curvilinear coordinate system based on classic shell theory was used for antenna thermal analysis. For a parabolic antenna, thermal conductivity sensitivity of root mean square of displacements(RMSD) of reflector shell was analyzed under three steady-states, result shows that the sensitivity is dependent on load cases, so the maximum of RMSD(MRMS) during an orbit period is treated as design object. Orthogonal simulation experiment method was used for sensitivity of thermal conductivity in shell plane and in transverse direction, specific heat, modulus of elasticity and thermal expansion coefficient to MRMS. The results show that in the levels thermal expansion coefficient has most, thermal conductivity has more, modulus of elasticity has less and specific heat has least influence on MRMS. The optimum parameters achieved can provide reference for ply optimization design of parabolic antenna in order to control the deformation.
Research on the impact on the structural property by rigidization of the inflatable boom

To research the axial-compressed load capacity of inflatable boom with rigidized laminated aluminum,the initial stress on the laminate with plastic deformation was taken account of,and the residual strain was gained by the tensile experiment of laminate. Using ANSYS program to calculate the axial load capacity of 1.2 meters long boom according to the residual strain, the mechanical properties unrigidized and rigidized were compared, which showed that the load capacity of rigidized one increased by 24%, then a 1.2 meters long boom model was developed, and experiments for axial load capacity under the pressure load 0 and 0.02 MPa were carried out, proving that the analysis method is true.
Optimization design of acoustic performance of  mini gasoline engines intake system

With the increase of automotive comfort need, the requirement of acoustic performance of the engine's intake system is increasing. Based on acoustic theory, the numerical model with multi-parameter of air cleaner of mini gasoline engine was built. On the one hand, through simulation of the noise of mini gasoline engine's straight pipe orifice, the target value of intake system's insert loss was gotten; on the other hand, considering the target value of insert loss, the target value of transfer loss of mini gasoline engine's intake system was estimated. By associating with air cleaner's acoustic numerical model, air cleaner's structure parameters were optimized. The design method of acoustic performance of mini gasoline engine's intake system has  great practical engineering significance, and the numerical model with multi'parameter provides theoretical basis for parameter design of air cleaners of mini gasoline engine.
Enhanced differential evolution and its application

This paper proposed an enhanced differential evolution algorithm for constrained optimization modified differential evolution algorithm(ECDE) to solve constraints optimization problems. The algorithm used three simple selection criteria based on feasibility and infeasibility to guide the search. The proposed algorithm didn't adopt the penalty function method, in contrast to the penalty function method, the constraint-handing technique of this algorithm was very simple, which didn't require additional parameters. In addition, this paper improved the mutation procedure of DE algorithm, operation traversal has been applied to the selection of the three parent individuals,which generated six candidate solutions, and then adopted to the best fitness of the six candidate solutions for the mutation solution. For these measures being adopted, the stability, robustness and global searching performance of DE algorithm were improved greatly. Results of simulations and comparisons with the other algorithms based on four testing functions demonstrate the effectiveness, efficiency and robustness of the proposed ECDE.
Knowledge representation and application of objects supporting scene range image reconstruction

With the development of knowledge engineering, knowledge has been widely used in design, manufacturing and overhaul of ships. To improve the efficiency and quality of reverse modeling, processing method of reverse engineering based on knowledge is proposed, which means bringing knowledge engineering into reverse modeling process. This paper studied the representation of the related knowledge and the spatial relationship of liquid tanks based on knowledge representation of XML and applied for the reverse modeling of liquid tanks. Take feature extraction for example,on the premises of comparative accuracy of 10-4 mm, the extraction precision has increased 90% and the influence of noise data and deficiency data have been wellcontrolled. The experiment shows that the approach provided can not only ensure the quality of modeling, but also enhance modeling efficiency greatly.
The technology of image encrypting based on ridgelet and chaotic system

This paper proposed a quckly image encrypting algorithm based on ridgelet transformation and chaos sequence. Firstly, the secret image was scrambled. Secondly, the secret image and the chaotic image generated by extended chaotic sequence were decomposed into low-frequency and high-frequency images, then the ridgelet coefficients were calculated, the fused ridgelet coefficients were composed, and the fusion image was got by inverse ridgelet transformation. Finally, the performance of the fusion algorithm was evaluated and analysed. The experimental results show that the proposed method is simple and viable.
Fitting surface to 3D scattered point set based on piecewise quadratic approximation

In order to improve the shapepreserving and efficiency of surface reconstruction, an automatic method for constructing smooth surfaces defined as curved triangular patches is proposed. The method started with a coarse mesh approximating the surface through triangular elements covering the boundary of the domain, then, iteratively added new points from the data set until a specified error tolerance attained, and at the adjacent region of each point a C1 piecewise quadratic approximation patch was constructed, all the triangle patches were combined together to form the whole surface with C1 continuities. Finally, the method has been implemented on real data set and compared with other methods. The results show that the method is effective for 3D scattered data points with high surface quality and low error. The method is also suitable for data reduction.

About the friction problem during expanding process of expandable tubular, current literature hadn't focused on the factors which impact coefficient factors but the friction coefficient has obvious effect on the expanding process. Based on plastic formation feature during expanding process, the constitute of friction force was analyzed; the factors impacting friction coefficient such as tubular material, expansion rate, state of expanding cone surface and expandsion ratio, and so on, were discussed; a friction force model of expanding process was built and a N80 expanding solid tubular finite model was use to verify the influence of friction coefficient during expansion process. From the finite model, the equivalent stress contour plot of friction coefficient 0.1,0.15,0.2,0.25,0.3 was obtained. Conclusion could be made by analyzing the equivalent stress contour plot that the plow appears in the expandable tubular at friction coefficient 0.25 or above, but the plow doesn't  appear when friction coefficient is below 0.25.The result calculated by finite element method is consistent with actual situation of expanding process that the plow appears at high friction coefficient.  Conclusion can be drawn that factors effecting the expansion technology in designing should be considered to reduce the friction coefficient.
Monitoring system of shield tunneling machine based on adaptive control technology

According to data monitoring and automation requirements of shield construction, the monitoring system of shield machine based on industrial network architecture is designed by a combinative model of centralized monitoring and distributed control,then the structural characteristics of the hardware and software of the monitoring system was analysed in detail. Aimed at the earth pressure balance technology in the monitoring progress of the shield,the expertise database based on experimental data of different stratum has been established by the adaptive control method based on the soil identification to achieve the adaptive control of earth pressure in the process of shield tunneling. The monitoring software programs are developed by the combination of LabVIEW and Matlab, and the results show that the human-machine interface of the monitoring system with good maneuverability and high security and reliability is intuitive.
Intelligent control design of campus lighting based on PLC

Electricity for illumination occupies most of university electricity consumption. Road and scenery illumination, with large capacity and long working hours, may cause waste of energy when it is operated manually.Therefore, according to the students' living patterns, PLC intelligent control system in the road and scenery illumination was adopted on the new campus. Some time before the blackout of students' apartments, all of road and scenery illumination lights would be turned on. Afterwards, the road illumination lights would be tuned down and some scenery illumination lights would be off. Additionally, during summer and winter holiday, the illumination lights would be controlled in different time interval. Based on estimate of operation for PLC intelligent control system,electricity saved each year is more than 25% and the lifetime of lights is also increased. The result shows that the illumination intelligent control system is reliable enough to meet the requirement of campus lighting, and the expected effect is realized.
Research on the structure and performance of balanced external cosine gear pump

Based on the fact that normal gear pump has defects of poor quality flow and imbalanced radial force, the design of a new type of balanced cosine gear pump with outer gear was presented. This new type of cosine gear pumps not only retain the general structural features of normal gear pumps, but also have good flow quality,high power density,balanced radial force of center wheel and can suffer large displacement as well. The effect of the center gear's tooth number on the pulse rate of pump flow was researched. Results show that the flow pulse rate of new cosine gear pump is only one third of normal cosine gear, which improves the quality of the gear pump's flow. Therefore, this new type of gear pump can expand application of gear pump, and has some research and application value.

As few or no failures occur during accelerated life test for aerospace electrical connector, which is high reliable and long-lifetime, it is difficult to assess reliability with traditional life test methods. Failure mode and contact performance variation of electrical connector in long-term storage condition was analyzed; the possibility of the performance degradation of the electrical connector was illustrated, which was proved by the test data of electrical connector in long-term storage. Then by analyzing the contact performance data under temperature accelerated stress, the accelerated ability of electrical connector performance degradation was demonstrated, and the authors deduce the law of performance degradation for aerospace electrical connector.
