Abstract Computer aided testing (CAT) system for pneumatic cylinder cushion characteristics was developed. The test bench including a pneumatic circuit and a solenoid valve driver was built.The hardware of the virtual instrument was configured and the software was designed by LabV IEW . The CAT system can test pressures at inlet,outlet and cushion cham bers,output force,piston displacement and shock acceleration of a pneumatic cylinder and plot corresponding result graphs.Experiments indicate that the CAT system is convenient to operate,and has high measurement precision and wide practicability.It applies to the measurement of cushion characteristics.velocity characteristics and transient characteristics of pneumatic cylinders.

气缸缓冲特性计算机辅助测试系统
为研究气缸缓冲特性计算机辅助测试(CAT)系统,设计了气动回路、电磁阀驱动电路。配置了虚拟仪器的硬件,用LabVIEW 设计虚拟仪器的软件. 此CAT 系统可以测试气缸的压力、输出力、位移和振动加速度,并绘制相应的实验结果曲线.实验表明此CAT 系统操作简便、测量精度高、实用性强,可对缓冲特性、速度特性、瞬态特性等多种气缸性能进行检测.
