Application of TRIZ in management process optimization

TRIZ, based on patent analysis, is a methodology to solve invention problem and has obtained plentiful and substantial achievement in engineering and technology fields. With furthering in research of TRIZ, its primary idea and analysis tools begin to be applied in management fields. Due to the characteristics of non-structure of management problems, TRIZ tools and process to solve problems can‘t be directly applied in management. There is no systematic method which can solve management problems with TRIZ at present. Through analyzing a mass of documents, this article, based on general process of solving problem with TRIZ and DMAIC process of six sigma, proposes an application process for TRIZ in management process optimization—DTSIC (define-translate-solve-improve-control). The article analyzes TRIZ methods and tools and management tools with details used in every step, and provides some principles to select these tools. The application process effectively combines TRIZ principle and kit of management methods and improves management processes through continuous circle process.

Innovative design of newstyle stereo garage based on TRIZ

TRIZ conflict resolving theory was applied to innovative design of stereo garage. Firstly, a survey was done on the “difficulty of parking” in modern society, in which space was extremely valuable. Then, the development background and application trend of stereo garage were proposed. Analysis on its type and shortcomings was conducted. Aiming at the problem of deficiency of parking space in scenic place, based on technical conflict analysis resolving theory of TRIZ theory, feasible inventing principle was analyzed, selected and determined. An innovative design scheme of twin-ring-arch assembly vertical-tum stereo garage was proposed. Innovative structure design and romance effect based on Pro/E, CAXA and 3ds Max were introduced with detailed, in which the innovation, feasibility of this design was sufficiently expounded. Moreover, design evaluation on the overall design is conducted. Finally, the application value and prospect of this new type of stereo garage was done.

Design of visual robot system to detect lines based on embedded technology

The traditional method to detect lines is always influenced by court light and environment, and therefore its adaptability is weak. A new type of technology to detect lines was proposed to be applied in self-determination detecting-line robot, whose system includes core module, video-image collecting module, human-computer interaction module, drive motor module and so on. The principle and function of every module, and the implementation of every module are presented. Experiments show that the system has good real-time capability, outstanding stability and high control accuracy.

Design on kicker of RoboCup of middle size soccer robot

Besides intelligent decision-making system, soccer robot should also have terminal agencies to implement such decisions. Aiming at the middle-size robot match in RoboCup, a new type of kicking mechanism was developed to solve the problem of “high intelligence but low capacity” existing in the robots of most teams. This mechanism was made up of solenoid valve, cylinder, gas cylinders, and control circuit. Through experiment and compare with counterparts, its feasibility and high-efficiency has been demonstrated.

Kinematics simulations of forging manipulator based on virtual prototype technology

Forging manipulators are the most important heavy load manipulator equipments. Implementation of the required motion trajectories is the basic function of a forging manipulator. Based on virtual prototype technology, a virtual prototype model of a forging manipulator was established with ADAMS, and then kinematics simulations of this forging manipulator were completed, and finally its motions were obtained. Comparing the above curves with its design parameters, it is demonstrated that its motion performance is good. Besides, the kinematics analysis provides theories and data for its future structure design in details.

Application of GMA in pulsed jet on-ff valve

Through analysis on working performance on pulsed jet on-off valve (PJOV), the conclusion that actuator is the key factor to determine the performance of such valve is drawn. By comparing the performance parameters of three actuators, it was concluded that GMA was the most suitable one for PJOV. Performance analysis and simulation result provided the static and dynamic properties of GMA in PJOV. Pulse flux experimental curve of PJOV indicates that changing rules of single-pulse flux with exciting currency is similar to curve property of magnetostriction of GMA, and the linear area of magnetostriction of GMA can fulfill the requirements of single-pulse jet flux. In dynamic experiments, the rising time of step response of valve stem was only 0.81 ms, which well fulfilled the requirements of PJOV.

Application of VPN technology in IP multicast video conference system

Aiming at the problems of poor security, high lost, limited resource of IP multicast Router when IP multicast video conference system is deployed and utilized on internet, the scheme to solve these problems by applying VPN technique to implement IP multicast video conference system on internet was proposed. Then, the network structure and implementing method of VPN were introduced. Meantime, the fundamental concept, key technology and its characteristics, and the overall design of IP multicast video conference system were simply expounded. Finally, this conference system was tested on WAN. The result indicates that running this system on WAN is implemented successfully and this system can guarantee the security and reliability of conference data transmission.

Establishment and application of decision making model for engineering materials selection based on relative degree of incidence

The shape similarity of curves of candidate materials and ideal ones was reflected by degree of grey incidence. Based on comprehensive consideration of influence of ideal solution and negative ideal one, the model of decision making for engineering materials selection was established by constructing relative degree of incidence. Taking the selection of storage pot material working under low temperature as an example, according to the weight set of eight indices obtained through experts' evaluation, the ideal and negative ideal solutions were determined, and then relative degree of incidence of ten kinds of candidate low-temperature materials were calculated respectively and finally selection was determined. The results show that the relative degree of incidence of 310 stainless steel is the highest, which means that it's the best storage pot material working under low temperature, which accords with industry practice and the method of weighted average, and moreover, the evaluation and rank obtained from degree of grey incidence for candidate materials are more reasonable. Due to the fact that this model reflects the shape similarity of curves of candidate materials with both ideal and negative ideal solution, model of decision making of engineering materials selection displays a clear physical implication, with which the analysis is more comprehensive and objective. Hence, this model is a powerful tool for decision making of engineering materials selection.

Slicing orientation making-decision for RPT based on AHP

Selection of slicing direction is a crucial parameter in RP technology. Slicing direction has a great effect on stair-stepping effect, deformation ,posthandling, supporting structure, efficiency. AHP effectively and comprehensively evaluates the judgment of decision-maker, which reflects the basic features of people’s decision-making idea-namely deposition, judgment and synthesis. AHP combining with fuzzy synthetic evaluation is applied to make decision of slicing direction of mouse. The result indicates that this method avoids subjectivity and increase the rationality in decision-making.

Novel data processing scheme for 3D scattered point data in reverse engineering

Currently, in reverse engineering, the data processing approaches for 3D point cloud data are based on data topology. The algrithm here aimed at the unordered, with no topology relationship, 3D scattered point cloud data. First, adopting the frequency method in probability statictics, the noise data could be found from the scattered data; then, through the K-D tree space estblished based on the 3D data, the k nearest points around noise point were found and through the information of these k points, the real information of the noise point was recovered. The laser 3D plane scanning robot system has demonstrated its effectiveness and it is feasible in pre-processing of data in reverse engineering.

Realization of materiel facility management DSS based on GIS

Aiming at the requirements of materiel facility management, a DSS(decision-making supporting system) based on GIS (geographic information system) for materiel facility management was designed. This system adopted MapInfo to draw electronic-map. MapX, a control component in desktop map information system, was seamlessly integrated with the applicable development platform such as Delphi, Visual C++, Visual Basic, Power Builder. The comprehensive decision-making supporting system was combined with GIS, and their key technologies and realizing methods were introduced in details. The following functions were implemented by this system: searching and displaying region information according to space location, searching in light of the types of attributes, searching ensuring resources according to certain attribute condition, interactively searching of graphs and attributes and making theme maps. The application results show that this system is flexible and general, vivid and direct and can provide decision-making support for materiel facility management in the army.

Optimization scheduling research of multi-resource-constrained project based on mixed-intelligence algorithm

For multi-resource-constrained project scheduling problem, a mixing-intelligence optimization algorithm to overcome the insufficiency of the traditional optimization one and enhance quality of the solution was proposed, which is based on critical chain project management (CCPM). Firstly, one kind of heuristic algorithm was adopted to recognize the critical chain and establish buffer size. And then by taking the project total time and work-in-process as the optimized goal, the mathematical model was established. Finally, a kind of intelligent optimization algorithm was designed and then the j30hrs.sm problem of project scheduling problem library and one production project problem were analyzed to get the optimizing result. The experiment result indicates that this algorithm can obtain better result than traditional scheduling optimization one in this kind of problem.

Numerical and experimental analysis on performances of coreless coil inductance

The coreless coil inductance calculation of MEMS in human body was proposed, focusing on the mutual inductance of non-coaxial coils. The effects on the mutual inductance due to main geometric parameters, such as gap, obliquity and radius, were analyzed. The numerical results indicate that mutual inductance decreases with the increase of axial and radial gaps and the influence of axial gap on mutual inductance is much bigger than the radial one; with the increase of obliquity, mutual inductance decreases, and when obliquity angle is equal to 90°, it is nearly zero; when coil radius varies, mutual inductance has a maximum. Furthermore, a tri-axial moving platform is put forward in which gap and obliquity can be adjusted easily and accurately. On the basis of the above, a mutual inductance measuring system is established, and the testing results are consistent with the calculation.
