Design and performance study of cylindrical arm coil spring for linear compressor

Abstract  Spring assembly is the key component of linear compressor. In order to optimize the spring assembly of the linear compressor, reduce the volume and weight of the spring assembly, and improve the work efficiency of the linear compressor, a multiple linear cylindrical arm coil spring with easy processing and high stiffness was designed. ANSYS finite element analysis software was used to calculate the stiffness and conduct modal analysis on the cylindrical arm coil spring. After that, the influence of the main structural parameters, such as the base circle radius of the coil spring center line, the coil spring line diameter, the coil spring axial height on its stiffness and stress was studied. The results showed that: with the increase of base circle radius, the axial stiffness and maximum stress of the cylindrical arm coil spring gradually decreased, and the radial stiffness variation curve was approximately a quadratic function curve with the opening upward; with the increase of line diameter, the axial stiffness and radial stiffness of cylindrical arm coil spring increased rapidly, and the maximum stress increased linearly. When designing the cylindrical arm coil spring, the base circle radius was set 15-19 mm, that was beneficial to improve the performance of the coil spring; if the line diameter was 4-6 mm, the axial height of 0 mm should be preferred; if the line diameter was 6-8 mm, the axial height of 10 mm should be preferred. The research results have important reference value for improving the spring support technology of linear compressor.

线性压缩机圆柱臂盘簧的设计及性能研究

弹簧组是线性压缩机的关键部件。为了优化线性压缩机的弹簧组,减小弹簧组的体积和重量,提高线性压缩机的工作效率,设计了一种易于加工的、大刚度的多线型圆柱臂盘簧。采用ANSYS有限元分析软件对圆柱臂盘簧进行刚度计算和模态分析,研究了圆柱臂盘簧中心线的基圆半径、盘簧线径、盘簧轴向高度等主要结构参数对其刚度和应力的影响。结果表明:随着基圆半径的增大,圆柱臂盘簧的轴向刚度、最大应力逐渐减小,径向刚度变化曲线近似为开口向上的二次函数曲线;随着线径的增大,圆柱臂盘簧的轴向刚度和径向刚度加速增大,最大应力基本呈线性增大。在设计圆柱臂盘簧时,将基圆半径设定在15~19 mm,有利于提高盘簧的性能;若线径为4~6 mm,应优先选择0 mm的轴向高度;若线径为6~8 mm,则优先选择10 mm的轴向高度。研究结果对提升线性压缩机的弹簧支撑技术具有重要的参考价值。
