Solid state polycondensation of PA(66-co-6T)

Abstract  

The prepolymer powder of hexamethylene adipamide and hexamethylene terephthalamide was used as a raw material to prepare a high molecular weight aromatic copolyamide PA(66-co-6T) via the solid state polycondensation (SSP) method. The effects of reaction time, nitrogen flow rate, reaction temperature and aromatic ring content on the SSP process were investigated. The results show that the reaction rate is fast during the initial stage of the SSP, while it gradually slows down after 6 hours; the intrinsic viscosity of resulting PA(66-co-6T) increases with the increasing of nitrogen flow rate, and then reach a platform when the nitrogen flow rate is more than 60 mL·min-1 (space velocity at 5 min-1). The intrinsic viscosity of PA(66-co-6T) also goes up with the rising of reaction temperature, and then decreases because of the degradation after reaction temperature is higher than 230 ℃; with the increase of the aromatic ring, the intrinsic viscosity increases of as-synthesized PA(66-co-6T) decreases, and its thermal stability is enhanced.

024PA(66-co-6T)固相缩聚

以聚己二酰己二胺-对苯二甲酰己二胺(PA(66-co-6T) )预聚物粉末为原料,研究固相缩聚法(SSP)制备高分子量含芳共聚尼龙.分别考察反应时间、氮气流量、反应温度和芳环含量等对固相缩聚的影响,结果表明:在反应初期,固相缩聚反应速率较快,反应6 h后逐渐减慢;聚合产物的特性黏度随氮气流量增大而增大,当氮气流量大于60 mL·min-1(空速5 min-1)时,产物特性黏度趋于一定值;随反应温度的升高,产物特性黏度增大,但温度超过230 ℃后,产物会发生降解而使特性黏度减小,产物特性黏度随芳环含量的增加而减小, 然而PA(66-co-6T) 的热稳定性提高.
