K.H.Beelich , E.Schneider , CHEN Wei, GE Zhong-Min
Chinese Journal of Engineering Design, 2000, 7(2): 5-9.
Abstract( 631 )   HTML( 0 )     PDF(652KB)( 725 )
Customers always compare a product with his expectations. To identify and understand these is a key to success. The expectations can be ascertained by the product developer in interviews and workshops at the customer’s or client’s.Mutual analysing of problems results in precisely formulated and scaled requirements(target specifications). This way,an objectified list of requirements,is generated that includes a builtin evaluation system. The quality of the development result achieved can be easily and unambiguously determined by comparison with the target specifications.
Research on Customer Requirement Analysis Method of Supporting the Customer Classification Strategy
LING Jin-Ru, DENG Jia-Ti
Chinese Journal of Engineering Design, 2000, 7(2): 10-13.
Abstract( 691 )   HTML( 0 )     PDF(182KB)( 1226 )
Through the analysis of the process of using a product,it’s presented that the customer requirement can be represented as the function of customer, environment and operation, which plays an important role in the product modeling in the requirement analysis phase, and the key to acquire the customer requirment is to extend the requirement space through the three dimensions. The customer classification strategy is supported as demand from the new mass customization manufacturing system.

Chinese Journal of Engineering Design, 2000, 7(2): 14-18.
Abstract( 828 )   HTML( 0 )     PDF(182KB)( 1429 )
The analysis presented in this paper and the conclusions drawn show how design science and product data technology may achieve common goals by co operation. These goals include to reach a thorough understanding of how product development may be pursued optimally in industry. Potentials of mutual enrichment of the respective work and their possible impact on product development are outlined.
Shape Optimization as a Technique for Improving Service Life
H.Bubenhagen , L.Harzheim , LIU Yao-Yi, MAO Qian-De
Chinese Journal of Engineering Design, 2000, 7(2): 19-23.
Abstract( 777 )   HTML( 0 )     PDF(289KB)( 1147 )
This publication describes how classical methods for fatigue analysis can be combined with modern methods of numerical mechanics.Additional to the usual computation of stresses using FEM,shape optimization is applied to reduce the stress maxima and obtain the desired service life of an engineering component.

Research on Assembly Sequence Planning Based on Mating Conditions
LI Yuan, CAO Zhe, ZHANG Tao, YANG Hai-Cheng
Chinese Journal of Engineering Design, 2000, 7(2): 28-31.
Abstract( 676 )   HTML( 0 )     PDF(183KB)( 1613 )
Assembly Sequence Planning( ASP) is automatic generation of assembly procedure based on assembly modeling . And the research ofASP is one of the key techniques of DFA. T his paper chooses the algorithm of mat ing condit ions to solve the problem. In this work, the components of an assembly and their mutual relat ions in this assembly, especially the mat ing condit ions, describe the assembly. From the mat ing condit ions of the components, an assembly procedure is generated in two steps. The paper adds some constraints to low er the amount of the calculat ion of the original algorithm, making the algorithm more consummate.

YUE Jian-Ru, GUAN Fu-Ling, CHEN Xiang-Yang, HU Qi-Biao
Chinese Journal of Engineering Design, 2000, 7(2): 32-37.
Abstract( 765 )   HTML( 0 )     PDF(270KB)( 1363 )
A new type of deployable parabolic t russ antenna is int roduced in this paper. Start with the analysis of the basic unit , the principle of the form of the whole antenna is presented. The deployable power of the the parabolic antenna is acted by the spring in the diagonal rod , and no need for extra force , so this type of deployable antenna has a wide range of application and a good prospect in deployable structures field.

LV Fu-Zai , XIANG Zhan-Qin, CHENG Yao-Dong
Chinese Journal of Engineering Design, 2000, 7(2): 42-44.
Abstract( 596 )   HTML( 0 )     PDF(186KB)( 1093 )
This paper presents the theoret ical and experimental study of magnetost ict ive mini-actuator.Transfer funct ion and dynamic modeling are described and discused as well. The modeling can be widely used in the design of giant manetostrictive actuator. Experiments show the mini-actuator designed and
developed by ourselves can meet the requirements of species displace and vibration control system. T he experiment results and the computer simulation results show that the device has good properties in low frequency range.

HU Xu-Xiao, YANG Ke-Ji
Chinese Journal of Engineering Design, 2000, 7(2): 45-48.
Abstract( 658 )   HTML( 0 )     PDF(200KB)( 993 )
In order to obtain the boost ing velocity procedure of a high-speed motor rapidly and smoothly,a single chip microcomputer cont roller w ith self-learning ability based on genetic alg orithm is developed. Not only detecting the sample target function and revising all parameters in real time, but also the ability to memory because of adding an informat ion library to the g enet ic algorithm, the cont roller can quickly get optimal parameters.
