Abstract Feature-libraries can increase the efficiency of the process of product development. The multipicity of the required features is leading to a high complexity of the library. Therefore it is necessary to use a methodical approach to build a feature-library. To reduce the effort for gathering feature-information specific for a certain branch, feature-libraries have to be interchangeable.Then several companies can work together on building a library. An interchangeability can be reached by using a standardized format to describe feature-information.
