Strengthening analysis and engineering application of high towers by using diaphragm bracings

Abstract  A high tower can be strengthened by adding a series of diaphragm bracings. This paper analyzes the working performance of high tower added diaphragm bracings through the method of three-dimension finite element considering geometry non-linearity and material non-linearity. Meantime, this paper also implements the optimization of the selection of connections and the parameters of diaphragm bracing's location. The result shows that the intensities of resisting bending and twisting are highly improved by utilizing diaphragm bracings. This scheme has already been applied to practical improvement projects and has been proved feasible.

高耸铁塔的隔撑强化分析及工程应用

通过在高耸铁塔中增加横向隔撑,实现高耸铁塔的强化。应用考虑几何非线性和材料非线性的空间有限元方法,对增加隔撑后高耸铁塔的工作性能进行了分析,并对连接形式和支撑位置进行了参数优化。结果表明,使用横向隔撑后高耸铁塔的抗弯强度和抗扭强度都有了明显的提高。这种隔撑强化方案已应用到一个实际的铁塔改造工程中,实践证明这种方法切实可行。
