Abstract Tolerance is very important for the seamless integration of CAD and CAM. How to correctly interpret tolerance semantics is a key problem.A mathematical representation method for the straight line is given based on the variation of degree of freedom (DOF)by integrating the concepts of DOF and variation. And then, a new classification method of straight line is proposed according to its orientation with respect to the whole part. Furthermore, research on the detailed constraint mode of different types of straight lines is done and the mathematical model for dimensional tolerance of straight line is systematically deduced. With the model, the semantics of the dimensional tolerance is exactly represented and interpreted under different constraint modes.

基于自由度变动的直线尺寸公差数学模型
公差对于CAD/CAM集成十分重要,而如何正确地解释其语义则是关键.结合运用自由度和变动思想,给出了直线基于自由度变动的数学表示方法;探索了基于直线在零件中的方位的分类方法.基于此,详细研究了不同类型直线的尺寸约束模式,系统地推导了不同尺寸约束模式下的尺寸公差数学模型,准确完整地表示出尺寸公差的语义.
