Abstract 2D deployable panel and shell structure based on paper folding model could obtain large deploying area under small folding volume, whose deploying efficiency was high. Staring from 2D paper folding model, research on the characteristics of this kind of deployable structure was carried out, and then the deploying process of this model was simulated. By employing the Moore-Penrose general inverse matrix, combining panel unit theory and its corresponding constraints handling, the deploying process of this model was analyzed and simulated. By integrating dynamic equations, velocity and acceleration can be computed as well.
