Corrosion behavior of 16MnR steel and welded joints in
high-temperature naphthenic acid

Abstract  

The static corrosion experiment was conducted using the experimental tests and the metallographic analysis in order to study the corrosion behavior of 16MnR steel and its welded joints in hightemperature naphthenic acid medium. The professional experimental device for the hightemperature naphthenic acid static corrosion experiment was designed and built, and the multigroup of corrosion experiments were conducted under different conditions of temperature and different conditions of total acid number (TAN). Then the trend of corrosion characteristics of 16MnR steel and its welded joints under hightemperature naphthenic acid environment was revealed. The metallographic analysis of test specimens after corrosion experiment was conducted by adopting the technology of field emission scanning electron microscope (FSEM) and energy dispersive Xray spectroscopy (EDX). Results show that the annual average corrosion rate of 16MnR steel is especially high, and the corrosion resistance of welded joint is generally lower than the base metal of 16MnR steel.

16MnR及其焊接接头高温环烷酸腐蚀性能


摘要: 为了研究16MnR钢板及其焊接接头在高温环烷酸介质中的腐蚀性能,采用实验测试和金相分析方法开展静态腐蚀试验.设计并搭建高温环烷酸静态腐蚀专用实验装置,围绕环烷酸总酸值(TAN)变化及温度变化2种试验情况进行多组浸泡腐蚀实验.通过对实验结果的分析,揭示16MnR钢板及其焊接接头在高温环烷酸环境中的腐蚀特性变化规律,并利用场发射扫描电子显微镜(FSEM)和X线能量色散谱仪(EDX)技术对腐蚀后试件进行金相分析.结果表明,高温环烷酸介质对16MnR钢材的年均腐蚀速率很大,焊接接头的耐蚀能力普遍低于母材耐蚀性能.
