Abstract SCADA system is being widely applied on crude pipelines as self-control system at present.The proposed leak detection system based on SCADA can test,display,control pipeline parameters.and it also can simulate dynamic state Of pipeline system ,and achieve rea1 time detection of leak time,leak position and leak quantity.Aiming at the system of Huabei Oil Field,the system combines rea1 time transient modeling method and rarefaction wave method.and achieves highly improved accuracy and large reduction of false alarm rate.The field operations over the past two years show that the system is stable and reliable.
