Abstract In order to improve the ride comfort of the vehicle independently developed by Hunan University, by comprehensively considering the influence of damping coefficients, suspension stiffness and unsprung mass on ride comfort, by adopting ADAMS/View, the simulation analysis model of air suspension and the whole vehicle was established. Then the irregularity sample of road spectrum needed in simulation analysis was constructed and the sensitivity analysis on the parameters which influence the vehicle safety, ride quality and ride comfort was carried out, on the basis of which, optimization on air suspension parameters was conducted. By comparing the result of vehicle road experiment with that of simulation, reliability and feasibility of simulation is validated.
