Experimental analysis and optimization of design parameters on water lubricated plastic alloy bearings

Abstract  Design parameters of water lubricated bearings are always get by reverse from overseas products. Design rules and manufacture process parameters will be obtained from experiments in the research. Design parameters such as bearing structure and long-diameter ratio (L/D) were analyzed, which were the main influence factors for lubrication property of water lubricated bearings. The empirical formula of the multi-curved and circle contacting face of bearings and the relation between the thickness of plastic alloys and the inner diameter of bearings were obtained. And then, the impact of manufacture process parameters including vulcanization time, temperature and pressure on the performance of bearing materials was analyzed through experiments. The main performance included peel strength, tensile strength and wearing capacity. Optimization of manufacture process parameters and the orthogonal experiments on them were carried out by integrating the results of experiments and finally the optimal manufacture process was achieved. The performance of water lubricated bearings with L/D=2 that made on vulcanization temperature 180 ℃, time 20 min and pressure 2 MPa can reach or exceed the standard of MIL-B-17901 (marine) published by USA Ministry of National Defense.

水润滑塑料合金轴承设计参数实验分析及优化

国内水润滑轴承设计参数多依据国外产品反求,研究拟通过实验得出各参数的设计准则和轴承的制造工艺.分析了轴瓦结构、长径比等影响水润滑塑料合金轴承润滑特性的设计参数,得到轴承多曲面圆弧凹槽的经验公式和胶层厚度与轴径的关系.通过实验分析了硫化时间、温度和压力等制造工艺参数对轴承材料性能的影响.主要性能包括定伸强度、磨损量和扯断伸长率.综合各实验结果对制造工艺参数进行优化并进行正交实验,得到最优制造工艺.在硫化温度为180 ℃、压力为2 MPa和硫化时间为20 min的条件下制造的长径比为2的水润滑轴承性能可达到或超过美国国防部颁布的MILB17901(船舶)军用标准.
