Abstract Generation of maintainability design requirements is an important maintainability work. However there is no logical process supporting this work at present. According to product design & development process, the paper put forward an integrative generating process for maintainability design requirements based on system engineering process. The process was composed of three tasks, namely generating maintenance concept, definition and allocation for maintainability indexes and generating maintainability design requirements. Each task process was described in details．
