Abstract A magnetorheological damper is designed and manufactured independently. Through the analysis of experiment data and characteristic curves, research on its magnetic magnitude and damper performance was conducted. Then, the advantage of applying this damper in semi-active control is validated. According to the principles of selecting parallel mechanisms in the main mechanism of vibrationabsorber, taking three DOF vibration absorber as an example, the assumption of applying MRD in multi-DIM vibration absorber is put forward. This paper providesdata basis and technical support for the application of this damper in multi-DIM vibration absorber.
