Abstract Three-dimensional parametric modeling of assembly was proposed through the re-de-velopment of Pro／Engineer by using Pro／Program．By using this technology，the modeling work can be further reduced，and the efficiency and quality of design will be greatly improved．As an example，three-dimensional parametric model of satellite antenna’S hoop truss was developed for structure design．
