Abstract In order to solve the problem of loosing and disengaging of the thread connecting parts,a new type of nut made of Fe-based shape memory alloy (SM A)is proposed,basing on the functional materials.The anti-loosing mechanism of the nut was mainly analyzed by theory,and the static and dynamic anti-loosing performance and the repeatability performance were studied by experiments.The results show that the nut not only has very good anti-loosing performance,but also can be used repeatedly.
