Abstract Adding jetting equipment at the entrance of normal—speed centrifugal pump or before the inducer of high—speed centrifugal pump to improve the suction performance is discussed．The sketch drawings of the axial single-nozzle straight jetting equipment and axial mutil—nozzle diagonal jetting equipment are showed． The theoretical foundation of design and the aim of optimization are also discussed．Using jetting equipment is a new method to improve the suction performance of pump．
