Abstract The artistic fashion of Xuanyan poetry was not only alive ,but also continuing to produce new changes in the Nanqi Dynasty . Such changes were present in the following areas : the spirit of the poets ,the aesthetic appeal of the poems ,the content and the artistic style of poetry ,etc . These poems extended beyond the traditional boundaries of″Xuanyan poetry″,and demonstrated the ideas and spirits of a new era . This is a phenomenon worthy of attention in the history of Chinese poetry .
