Abstract  The complex system structure and multiple operation modes of complex equipment lead to the hardness to accurately calculate mean time to repair (MTTR) using conventional maintainability prediction model. After analyzing the characteristics of the complex equipment maintainability, a maintainability prediction model was presented, which took into account the disassembling order and the system failure modes. And then the multi-layer CPN model was established, and the MTTR was obtained by simulations. In the proposed CPN model, the control variables were defined, and the adaptability of the CPN model was guaranteed by parameterizing the input quantities. Finally, a case was simulated to demonstrate its feasibility.
