Abstract The close cooperation of mechanics, electronics, control engineering and software contains considerable chances of succsess for mechanical engineering and corresponding branches. On the one hand the cost-benefit ration of known products can grow considerably. On the other hand completely new products become possible. The following paper presents the basics of a new method specifying principle solutions of mechatronic systems in an integrated semi-formal manner according to [1]. Thus an important presupposition for the coorperation of the technical domains involved is established in the early stage“conceptional design”of the design process.
