Abstract In mechanical design many parameters have to be considered. The dependencies of these parameters are usually very complex . In order to get good solutions, the designer has to work iterative and rely on his know-how . A method to get opt imal solutions without relying on the designer has know-how is the optimization with evolutionary algorithms.
