Abstract In order to fulfil Shape Changed Design of CAD , methods of CAPP are applied into CAD technology to satisfy the automatic design process requirement . This paper analogizes the Variant Approach with Shape Changed Design in detail. And a product classify code system is int roduces based on nearness theory , plan of feature code mechanism is also presented.
