摘要： 外观建模是计算机图形学中的一项重要任务，用于捕捉和再现真实世界物体在不同光照和视角下的丰富外观。随着深度学习技术的最新进展，人们已经提出了一组基于深度学习的方法来提高外观建模的效率和质量。在本文中，我们从图形和机器学习的角度对这些深度外观建模技术进行了综述，并探讨了这一方向面临的挑战和机遇。

Abstract: Appearance modeling is an essential task in computer graphics for capturing and reproducing rich appearance of real world materials under different lighting and viewing conditions. With recent advances of deep learning techniques, a set of deep learning based approaches have been proposed for improving the efficiency and result quality of appearance modeling. In this paper, we provide a survey of these deep appearance modeling techniques from both graphics and machine learning perspectives, and discuss the challenges and opportunities along this direction.
