关于随机游动所覆盖的最大圆盘的估计

Estimates of the Largest Disc Covered by a Random Walk

摘要： 本文给出了一随机游动所覆盖的最大圆盘R(n)的分布的一上尾估计, 由此将文献[ 5] 中的λ的取值范围从14 < λ<120 改进为14 < λ<8 .

Abstract: Let R(n)be the largest integ er for which the disc of radius R(n)around the origin is covered by the first n steps of a random walk.The main objective o f the present paper is to obtain be tter estimates fo r the upper tail of the distributionof R(n).Therefore , the co njecture of P.Ré vé sz (1990)remains if we change1/4 <λ<120 to1/4 <λ<8 .
