Evaluation of the Types of Pulmonary Hypertension Complicated with Large Ventricular Septal Defects by Doppler Echocardiography

Abstract  

To evaluate the types of pulmonary hypertension complicated with large ventricular septal defect (VSD) by Doppler echocardiography. Methods:The ratios of the pre-ejection period to the acceleration period and to the cardiac outputs of right and left ventricules (R PEP: AT :Qp/L PEP : AT: Qs) were measured by Doppler echocardiography in comparison with those of pulmonary to systemic vascular resistance (PVR/SVR) measured by cardiac catheterization in 36 cases of large VSD. Results:The R PEP: AT: Qp/L PEP: AT: Qs measured by Doppler echocardiography were approximate to the PVR/SVR measured by cardiac catheterization in the VSD of the high shunt and the high resistance types,respectively (P>0. 10). Conclusion:The R PEP: AT: Qp/L PEP :AT: Qs measured by Doppler echocardiography can be used to evaluate PVR/SVR and evaluate the changes of blood flow dynamics in two different types of VSD.

多普勒超声评价大型室间隔缺损肺动脉高压的类型

目的:以多普勒超声评价大型室间隔缺损(VSD)肺动脉高压的类型。方法:多普勒超声测量36例大型VSD患者右室和左室射血前期、加速期和心输出量比值的比值(R PEP:AT:Qp/L PEP:AT:Qs),与高分流型和高肺阻型VSD心导管测量的肺循环和体循环阻力比值(PVR/SVR)相比较。结果:超声测量高分流型和高肺阻型VSD患者的R PEP:AT:Qp/L PEP:AT:Qs与心导管测量的PVR/SVR测值相接近,P>0.10。结论:超声测量的R PEP:AT:Qp/L PEP:AT:Qs能较为准确地估测PVR/SVR,评价高分流型和高肺阻型VSD的血流动力学改变。
