EFFECTS OF 50 HZ MAGNETIC FIELD ON DNADAMAGE/REPAIR IN CULTURED HUMAN FL CELLS

Abstract  The test of unscheduled DNA synthesis(UDS) was adopted in this study to examine the possible effects of 50 Hz magnetic fields on DNA damage/repair in the normal human amniotic FL cell line, In view of the weak effects of ELF(Extremely Low Frequency),the cells were treated with MNNG(a known carcinogen) at one time with different concentrations. The results showed that magnetic fields led to nonlinear dose-dependent elevations of DNA damage,indicating that the interaction of ELF magnetic fields with the cells was revealed in specific intensity regions. The intensity "Window" was complicated by the fact that exposure to 1 mT increased DNA damage both with and without MNNG,but expostire to 0.3 mT could enhance the effect of MNNG below the threshold concentration, and exposure to 5 mT exerted no influence on cells.

50Hz磁场辐射对培养细胞DNA损伤修复影响的研究

用不同浓度甲基硝基亚硝酸胍(MNNG)诱发FL细胞的程序外DNA合成(UDS),同时加50Hz磁场辐射,以观察磁场对细胞DNA损伤修复的影响。结果表明,磁场的作用与其强度有关,当磁场强度为1mT时,对细胞DNA有直接损伤作用;0.3mT时有促进MNNG对DNA的损伤作用,而5mT时则无明显作用,呈非线性的"振幅窗"效应现象。
