Abstract： In this paper.-we propose a new numerical method which is a least squares approximation based onpseudospectral method for the biharmonic equation with nonhomogeneous boundary conditions in a twodimensional domain. The existence and the uniqueness of the solution of the least squares approximationare proved. Error estimates for this method are given,which shows that our method also has spectralaccuracy.
