Abstract: Lattice vector quantization( LV Q) has been recently interested to many people by its promising property. Due to the distribution of wavelet image coefficients, pyramidal lattice vector quantization ( PLVQ) w as introduce. A general coding sheme was proposed to eliminate the redundance of V Q output vectors. Furthermore, a fast algorithm of labeling lattice points and a fast inverse algorithm of
