Effects of Potassium Hydrogen 1-triacontyl Phosphate on Some Physiological Characteristics of Rice Seedlings

Abstract:Potassium Hydrogen 1-triaco ntyl Pho sphate is a new type of plant grow th regulator .Under the condition that the rice seedlings are cultured in liquid media, the low concentration of TPK (0.005 ~ 0.5mg/ L)can promote the grow th of seedling s, increase the fresh weig ht and dry w eight .α-amylase activity in endo sperm of TPK treatment is hig her than that of the co ntrol or TA treatment .Bo th of the peroxidase activity and the content of soluble protein of TPK treatment are also
increased .Besides, the TPK treated plant has a hig her content of chlorophy ll.These experimental results show that the co ncentration of TPK applied can be lower than tha t of TA about 10 times.Hence TPK is valuable in agricultural application.
