Abstract：Hamming minimum distance has been w idely applied in diffusion code, error correction code,error detection co d e and etc. In this p ape r, concepts of total row distance, average row distance in F 2 and Fqare proposed , and minimal upper boundth eroms on the mare given and proved . Accordin g to th eseth er om s, minim al u pp er b ou n d o n Ham min g minimu m distance o f Vn( F 2 、 Vn( Fq) is ob tained . In meam -time , supremum o f parameterdon multip le bits diffusio n cod e is g iv en , and a neccesary condition that alin ear code (n , k ) is a best code is obtained.
