Abstract：In this paper , the convergence of modified Bernstein operators is investigated, and an exact condition to guarantee the opera to rs to converge to f ( x ) ∈ C[ 0 , 1 )( but unbound on [ 0, 1 ]) with the smallest terms is obtained .
