Abstract:Ammonia-N and nitrite-N are the main pollutants in the shrimp culture environment. After Macrobrachi-
um rosenbergii were exposed to 1mg /L non-ionic ammonia-N and 1mg /L nitrite-N for 1, 4, 7, and 10 days, phenol-
oxidase(PO) activity in hemolymph and muscle decreased significantly , but the phenoloxidase activity in hepatopan-
creas increased appreciably. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity increased at first and decreased after 10 days. Al-
kaline phosphatase(ALP) and acid phosphatase (ACP) activities increased significantly. It was shown that the four
immune Enzyme activities of M. rosenbergii were affected significantly by exposure to 1mg /L non-ionic ammonia-N
and nitrite-N.
